Its ok... Dramatic reviews, game clearly states its Alpha, so idk what people are expecting. Give it another 35 years to cook and it'll be worth the $50.

What a horrible game.

How is it that brand new players are fighting players who have thousands of wins or ranked ratings in their first game?

Its a moba, wild there is no form of MMR in 2025 lol

Impossible to invite new players to the game who are new to MOBAs, smart move devs

Ready or Not promises a realistic tactical SWAT experience, but it often feels more like a clunky, frustrating mess than a polished game. One of the most infuriating mechanics is the way your gun inexplicably points straight up into the air whenever an enemy gets too close or you pass through a doorway. In a game that prides itself on realism, this bizarre design choice completely breaks immersion and feels like a cheap way to increase difficulty. It’s not challenging—it’s just annoying. Trying to aim down sights only to have your weapon flail around like a malfunctioning toy is the last thing you want in a high-stakes firefight.

Another glaring issue is the death cam. When you die, you’re forced to watch the side-helm camera of another player, and it’s downright unsettling. The janky, unnatural movement of the camera makes it feel like you’re watching a poorly animated puppet rather than a human being. It’s disorienting and adds nothing to the experience other than making you wish you could just skip it entirely. Why isn’t there an option to spectate from a more stable, third-person perspective? It’s a small detail, but it’s emblematic of the game’s lack of polish.

Beyond these glaring flaws, Ready or Not suffers from a host of other issues. The AI is inconsistent at best—sometimes they’re hyper-aware terminators who spot you through walls, and other times they stand around like mannequins waiting to be shot. The missions, while conceptually interesting, often feel repetitive and uninspired, with little variation in objectives. The game also lacks a strong narrative hook, leaving you with little motivation to push through its frustrating mechanics.

The sound design is another letdown. While the gunshots and ambient noises are decent, the voice acting is laughably bad, and the constant barking of orders from your team becomes grating after a while. The multiplayer experience isn’t much better, with connectivity issues and a lack of meaningful teamwork mechanics making it feel like a missed opportunity.

Overall, Ready or Not is a game that tries to sell itself on realism and tension but ends up being more frustrating than fun. Between the awkward gun mechanics, the unsettling death cam, and a host of other poorly executed features, it’s hard to recommend this game to anyone other than the most masochistic of tactical shooter fans. If you’re looking for a polished, enjoyable SWAT experience, you’re better off looking elsewhere.

The game itself is fun if you like idle/resource management games. My biggest dislike of the game is the UI, it just doesn't feel good when the whole point of the game is to monitor your resources and use those resources to craft new things, then use those new things to sell or craft newer things. Just feels very messy. If you can get passed the UI issues though, game is decent.

*Edit*
I have around 45 hours in the game now and have "Completed it" (Aka I got the Achievement for "Beating the game". Less than a week of content yet there's an achievement for having your town for 30 IRL calendar days, so not even close to having enough content to make it worth playing for 30 days. That almost made me change my rating to not recommend tbh. Should either remove that achievement or add enough content to keep someone playing that long.

Terrible game. Queues take forever for anything other than ANY/ALL. Devs only allow "free players" to play 5 games a day, which only makes the game more dead lol. Click on anything on the UI and you get a pop up of them asking you to buy the game, feels like a cash grab.

Just not worth it, devs trying hard to make a quick buck and you get a crap product in return.
