I believe joining a random community server that is configured for competitive works fine, good players always join them, including me (That's why I had many hours, too). Getting into competitive, okay is good, but you're ruining the game of others that actually want to progress, it is true that you learn by playing against better players that you. WRONG in a way, to be honest I learned by watching the pro leagues (You know, Luminosity, LDLC, Vexed, NiP, and all these teams in Lounge), and just by looking their matches and other matches I ranked from Nova 1 to MGE in no time, and worst of case, alone, nobody did teached me anything, probs some guides (In fact, I've just read 2) but well, you got what I mean, right?

I've always said you'll never learn anything at all if you have someone to rely, because when something happen, it's usually you that has to come and fix the thing.

One thing I say is... Why people have to go to lower ranks? Or boost friends that are lower rank? Just to give them a carried rank? That's actually pretty stupid and dumb, let your friend progress alone. I don't know if you were "steel" or "Hiko", but compared to other teammates, lmao 50 kills combined against... 18? 19 maybe? Each one having 6 - 7 kills, it just give people reasons to think that guy is actually cheating, even when isn't actually doing it.

TL;DR: Don't smurf/go to low ranks, let the people progress by their rhythm, because it's disappointing to lose 4 - 5 or more matches in a row because a smurf wanted to boost their friends, or is bored of his actual skill group, or a cheater that is boosting a friend and don't want to get a VAC in his main.
