Just putting a comment here as I'm not sure if chat saves history. I use the Oculus Quest 2 (Meta Quest 2 now) for VR. It doesn't need lightboxes set up in your room and mostly stands alone. Note that you will need a cable connected if you want to connect to your PC to play SteamVR stuff (get a separate 16ft one, it's enough). Quest is fine if it's your first time using VR so you get the feel for things. Alyx is a solid game and works well with it.

Takes a while to get used to but once you do, it's fun.
