Hunt: Showdown — Review

If you're into PvP shooters that reward skill, patience, and raw nerves, Hunt: Showdown is hands down one of the best out there. The gunplay feels sharp and impactful — every shot matters, and the sound design alone can make or break an engagement. It's not your typical run-and-gun. Movement, positioning, and tactics decide your fate more often than raw reaction time.

The tactical freedom in Hunt is next level. Want to sneak around, ambush, bait with sound traps, or go full guns blazing? It's all on the table. There's no "right" way to win — just your way, and if you're creative, the sky's the limit.

Heads up though — it's sweaty. This isn't casual Sunday gaming. You will run into squads who live and breathe this game. But honestly, that's part of the draw. It's high stakes, it's tense, and when you pull off a clean kill or clutch extract, few games feel better.

Bonus points for the soundtrack

Pros:
✔ Top-tier gunplay
✔ Tons of tactical freedom
✔ High-stakes, adrenaline-fueled matches
✔ Killer soundtrack and atmosphere

Cons:
✖ Learning curve is steep
✖ Can be punishing for solo players
✖ Definitely a sweaty experience — but some of us like that

Bottom line:
If you enjoy PvP shooters that demand skill, patience, and creativity — and you're okay sweating a bit — Hunt: Showdown is worth your time.

Dying Light: The Beast – The Fear is Finally Back

After replaying Dying Light 1 and 2 to refresh my memory, stepping into The Beast felt like coming home to what made the franchise special.

The biggest selling point? The fear factor. It’s back in full force. Where DL2’s nights were more of an inconvenience than a threat, The Beast makes them horrifying again—just like 2015. Going out after dark is pure adrenaline. Volatiles aren’t just a nuisance; they’re relentless, nearly unstoppable predators that make every step outside feel like you’re being hunted.

Parkour feels grounded again, stripped of the floaty weightlessness that dulled DL2. Every climb, jump, and roll carries impact. And then there’s Beast Mode—a brutal, feral extension of combat that makes melee fights as satisfying as they are sickening. The finishers are savage, and the gore system? Honestly, it’s the most beautifully grotesque display I’ve seen in gaming in years.

Performance: The game runs buttery smooth at max settings and looks far more realistic than either previous entry. Yes, there are a few hiccups (floating grass, rain indoors), but they pale in comparison to the sheer atmosphere Techland has delivered here.

Forget the noise about this being “just DLC.” The Beast feels like a proper return to form. It’s terrifying, fluid, bloody, and unapologetically Dying Light.

Final Verdict: The Beast is the first time in a decade that going out at night has made me hesitate—and that alone makes it worth every second. Highly recommended.
