The only "classic" MMO worth playing in 2026 along World of Warcraft TBC Anniversary.

Base Game:
A Realm Reborn, a perfect entry for those that have just started the game, it gives the player enough time to grasp the initial mechanics albeit slow at first it is essential to have a solid foundation to carry through the more difficult content. A lot of introductory dialogue and set up mostly for the next regions and stories of the expansions: one example is Ala Mhigo being teased multiple times within quests here.

Expansions:
Heavensward, the most dramatic storyline you will ever witness in the game with the best job that has ever been created in Final Fantasy, Dark Knight (fight me), decent content 13 New Trials, 18 New Dungeons, Three 8-player raids and Three 24-player raids.

Stormblood, in short the best content in the game and the most rich in terms of variety not just in content but in gameplay mechanics, it's the most fun you'll ever have and hands down my favorite expansion, and in my opinion this is where you actually start seeing what the game is really like around this expansion you should have an idea if this is for you.

Shadowbringers, play and find out yourself since now it has been added to the Free Trial as well increasing the level cap to 80.

The Free Trial is a perfect starting point for new players that have never tried it before, there's no need to rush anything since you can't reach max level, but you have now access to half of the game, with these expansions alone it can be easily a 2k-4k hours game depending on how you play it, this is a lot of time to think about if this game is worth your money and time. Disclaimer: once you sub you cannot go back to the Free Trial.

The community is generally friendly and you'd be surprised at how they'd be willing to help new players learn mechanics and more, my experiences have been mostly positive in North American servers, now I am playing in EU to see if it is the same.

9/10 Game just avoid the cat girls in Limsa Lominsa.

F16C module owner here, first off the flight model is amazing and one of the best in the industry nothing else compares, the F16C module is the most complete module in DCS even if at the time of when I bought it, it was still in EA its amazing to see ED continue the development of all of these modules, second, multiplayer is not really my thing since I can't join these clans and dedicate my life to them like they do since I play a lot of games and just don't focus on one thing in particular like my life depended on it, so if you play in single player there isn't really much to do and since the F16 is a available in another game that offers a dynamic campaign I stuck to playing that one, however the F16C in DCS is superior to any other I've flown, I would have not recommended this game before but the developers are developing essentially what everyone has been asking for years, a dynamic campaign where we can actually play instead of wasting 2 hours creating a mission in the editor, that's all I can say for the time being looking forward to that, even if right now at the moment of this review it is not recommended to play unless you just enjoy flying I guess and playing the occasional missions and the user created content, but I don't consider that a "good experience".

Genuinely surprised with the returning player experience. They have made the campaign much shorter so you can get straight to the grinding.

No player led market where you get exploited like crazy like in Warframe, No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, just farm loot 24/7 with no incentive to spend a single dime. Less than 30 hours and I already have unlocked 5 descendants including two ultimates looking forward to farm for builds and weapons into the post game content I can easily see myself spending more hours after witnessing all the content and variety in builds.

If you are a Borderlands 2 player that got to OP levels you will play this game and find it quite easy however it is enjoyable playing a looter that doesn't take your life and soul.

8/10 if you actually care about Japanese horse racing, it's not a 10 because it's a gacha game.

Right now global isn't super sweaty and CMs can be won even if you are f2p.
I've played the Winning Post series before developed by Konami and you will find similarities and a lot of overlapping mechanics albeit simplified, for example the horse pedigree is three generations and bigger in the Winning Post series but in Umamusume: PD it's only by two generations. Obviously no jockeys or management of stud farms since the horses are anthropomorphized. Gacha game so you will be forced to gamble and keep up with the games updates if you want to have any sort of fun. Not recommended for those that don't like gacha games because it is literally just another gacha game for them, but to those that are interested in horse racing this is for you especially if you used to play Winning Post with the start dates 1980 and 1990 you will find a lot of familiar horses here in this game unlike winning post you aren't forced to make sacrifices and you can try to give each uma in this fictional scenario any type of career you could ever wish for them, the fact that it's in real time and you get to race against other horses of real players makes it even better in my opinion.

Career mode is a joke, once you have a decent deck the RNG is less relevant than most players actually think, and it becomes more about finding the perfect balance of stats and good skills to actually finish the race to get a perfect proc.
PvP is optional, and you lose nothing if you try to participate, since there are graded leagues (A rank and higher umas) and ungraded leagues for lower ranked umas (Maximum B+ rank).

Spending hundreds of dollars in this game does not guarantee you to win, at the end of the day no matter how hard you tried and got all the right skills they might not activate and it might give another player the win, not a huge problem in my opinion unless you are about to spend your whole life savings on this game and you are obsessed with winning all the time but that would open up a can of worms.

I will however admit that the gacha rates are really tough and outdated compared to other gachas but that's only because players here are willing to gamble that much otherwise the developers would have brought them down a long time ago it is what it is. Returning banners and characters are almost non existent and once you miss a banner you will be forced to get lucky and get spooked, or wait an entire year for the anniversary where you can actually get to pick your character. Right now the schedule is also accelerated and the only way to get enough carats is by complaining on their socials.

It's refreshing to play a game that focuses solely on the wargaming experience and managing the units, mostly just the war aspect of the game, I like that the micro management is not intensive especially for the naval units so that I don't have to click on every single unit on the map. The difficulty is fine, I've found that setting computer bonus experience on Elite difficulty and the computer bonus effectiveness to Excellent tends to work most of the time, like every strategy game that is a single player experience the computer lacks the long term planning that a player might have since it's just a bunch of scripts following directives. However even in the early game you can still easily beat the CPU with your starting units it's a little hard to take the game seriously after what I've witnessed in just 60 hours, the biggest flaws of the CPU are that they are far too passive in most situations they barely take any action against you and this gives the player a big advantage because a player might take their time to pick fights carefully while the CPU is not capable of understanding the situation is in, this makes the experience too simple for my liking, I can also explain what happened in my save and I urge the developers to re-create the situation if they still update their game: the CPU loves chasing the air units that are behind the frontline, you can leave some open space between two frontlines and the CPU will send one unit to chase your air units you can encircle them and kill the CPU units one by one this way I wasn't even trying to cheese the CPU it just happened because I wanted to declare war on the Soviet Union in 1940. I really wanted to see how the CPU handled the soviet units and I wasn't at all surprised by how bad it was, they are far too passive and defensive even when they have more units than the player, they get encircled too easily because they give up ground way too easily, they retreat constantly, only poland and france set up defensive positions but only because it was scripted and they were their starting positions. I don't plan on playing on übermensch difficulty anytime soon tho because I don't think it's fun trying to kill unkillable units of super humans but I do appreciate the fact that the CPU doesn't spawn units constantly out of thin air.

I like the ideas of the game and it is an enjoyable experience, there's a lot of good things: I like the production management and having to choose between upgrading existing units or creating new units, the UI is fine and easily readable I did not look up any tutorials on the game to get started either. I think the biggest flaw of this game really is just the CPU if you can get past the amateurish look of the game (which I personally like btw).

For who might this game be? Obviously I could recommend it to everyone especially to people that aren't used to strategy games and computer wargaming in general. I must admit that the price tag is a little too high for what I've seen especially for the CPU behavior since its mostly just a single player game the game is just not worth it at 38.99, this is more of a 20 bucks game but other than that I'd say it's a decent game I will go with the majority and also recommend the game but my opinion is pretty mixed as well mostly just for the highly incompetent CPU. I don't know if the game can be modded into turning the CPU more aggressive but I am not that interested right now to look into it.

Been here since the game release, played since the 1.0 since the inception of this game, now in 2025 this game is not anymore a strategy game, its just a pseudo live service game I wont dwell much on the product but the full experience of this game, first off I want to talk about the DLC policy and how this DLC policy is fundamentally destroying the game, why you ask? More content = Better game? We are talking a game that was so barebones on release that it could be considered an AFK game, honestly not much has changed since then, there are just more buttons to click and you know whats funny, you guys released a game with essentially no features whatsoever and then just kept stacking DLCs on top of each other and now you have created an odd situation in which I am free to ignore the content of the DLCs and still be able to play the game and this is not good game design, its awful, this game suffers from DLC power creeping essentially what a DLC does in this game just gives you more ways to increase your power and it is centered around a mechanic that does not interact with the rest of the DLCs or any other content (in some cases very little), which results in one of the MOST DISCONNECTED experiences ever, La Resistance DLC is one of the most glaring examples, this is one of the those DLCs that you could have turned on but you can forget entirely about its existence, the strategy aspect of this game is deteriorating because as the years go by the flaws of the game design begin to emerge at an alarming rate, IT IS NOT GOOD GAME DESIGN TO ADD A NEW MECHANIC INTO THE GAME THAT IS OVERPOWERED THAT NEVER EXISTED BEFORE. IT IS NOT GOOD GAME DESIGN TO NOT UPDATE PREVIOUS GAME MECHANICS WHEN SOMETHING NEW IS RELEASED.

Vanilla Hoi4 even with all of its content and DLCs it does not provide any challenge whatsoever, the game all boils down to stacking OP modifiers and this becomes more easy with more DLCs, I want to add that I am not against DLCs for a game but I am against the Paradox game design and their DLC policy is one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have ever seen because it doesn't just pisses off consumers because they feel ripped off that each time they play a DLC that added very little to the whole experience but their DLCs are actively ruining the game, I feel like their only intent is to sell as many DLCs as possible instead of providing a good experience for the players instead of fleshing out the core mechanics of the game you are just getting more menus slapped on top of each other somehow it works? In my opinion after repeated years of playing this game I believe it is reaching its limit.

How to fix it? Before releasing a game plan a road map with all of the features you want implemented into the game, make sure all of the core mechanics interact with each other and that nothing can be "left" behind or ignored by a player's will make it so that if a new mechanic is added into the game the previous mechanics are not overshadowed but instead overhauled to fit into the new gameplay loop that fits into the game, make it so that the game requires more than just picking the right modifier in the moment and find something better than relying on the national focus it just feels way too restrictive if the national focus ends up being crap because you forgot to play test it.

While I don't have all the answers to these problems with the years the main aspects of this game are just getting worse and lets not even talk about the historical inaccuracies that have been introduced with the latest DLCs some ♥♥♥♥ just straight up looks like its made for content creators just to make a stupid thumbnail or for their stupid marketing on their socials.

The game still has its merits and as it is I'd say right now.... it is borderline decent however It could be so much better instead of this bastardized WW2 strategy game that turned itself into a live service where you gotta keep paying for literally anything, mistakes were made here and I just want the developers to know and other people that it doesn't have to be this way and it isn't the only way to make money and support a game, currently as it is their DLC policy does not benefit ANYONE it only benefits them and I believe that it should benefit consumers too, but if I am wrong and the game keeps selling then it might just as well be that after a long time I might as well not be their target audience anymore and that this game is catered to a different audience... if there's still people out there willing to pay for this half assed and poorly designed strategy game.

Bought it on GOG now on Steam as well, Cyberpunk 2077 is an Open World RPG with a great story, the protagonist is not V but NC, even if it does not have interactivity Night City is incredibly detailed from the uniquely placed debris to the scale of the skyscrapers, the props and sheer amount of details present in every area or corner in the city.
This game is also DRM free which means you can play it without any steam dependencies for offline play.
The game has had a disastrous release but CDPR stayed and fixed their mess and gave the game the proper development time it deserved, in 2025 it still remains an amazing game that few companies can rival.

PS: I love Johnny

Make the game free to play so more people can actually play it, those that bought the game can be given something extra like a skin or in-game currency so they don't complain because they get compensated.
