i love and hate this remake at the same time but im gonna give it a recommendation at Sale price

Mind you they cut content to be "modern" with mixed results, theres some absolutely frustrating bugs, and physics are all over the place some missions but i had a good time overall with it

The last mission changes and balances im not a fan of personally as well the story/humor has aged like sour milk, By the time the game ended i was done with the game unlike the first remake so thats the stick out point but the game is still fun too play
Grab it on sale or if you are a fan of this fun series, sucks we wont get Path of Furon redone

If you must grab this play the original classic release version you get with this, this definitive version is so broken i want to call it the defective edition
-Warping and broken ai
-broken lighting
-broken textures,
-major pop in & sometimes pop out
-random frame rate stutters
this definitive version is a mess & it absolutely makes me levid because Mafia 2 story is worth playing
2k & Hanger 13, you should be ashamed of yourselves!

A game with lots of potential but falls flat on its face
- bland level design that has no exploration or different ways to tackle each mission which i dont get
- poor mission structure of follow me and let me do everything tags over allie heads
- story trys to envoke weight and sense of lost hope but its delivered so piss poor with bad characters and weak writing
- 7 missions lasting 4 1/2 hours unless you go after the poorly implemented collectable pages
- Dead Multiplayer which was the only reason to play this game
I liked the promise of this game & the shooting is solid fun but the exacution was all over the place, its too bad because this could of been great if it got the extra 6 months of dev time it needed, no wonder THQ original incarnation went under

Full disclaimer ive played the mobile version and get what this is trying to do but for $16 CAD i cant justify paying money for this when the mobile version is free

This is the written review for Wrestling Revolution, video review is here https://youtu.be/y8R7LYGg7eM

+lots of features
+reminds me of the old days of wrestling games
+easy pick and play controls
+decent career and booking mode
-reminds me of the old days of wrestling games
-collision detection bad
-animations bad
-presentation bad
-straight up mobile version ported to pc

Wrestling Revolution 3D is designed by one person Matt Dickie and he has one purpose, cater to the crowd that misses the old school design of earlier wrestling titles like wwf no mercy for the n64, now its made its way to pc and for fans of the mobile game youll be happy to know its the same game you loved and played on your phone or tablet for the most part
Problem is its the same game you can play on your phone or tablet for free but it cost 10 dollars and no gore or limb loss

The presentation is the same as mobile devices from the stiff animations and the piss poor framerate, to the blatent buttons shown on screen and blocky character models its clear that no effort went into updating the presentation, this isnt a mobile device your watching here this is PC version
Controls are very pick up and play that is if you play with controller, which reminded me of those glory days of wwf no mercy for the n64
Problem is its also reminded me of the bad things about those times too like horrendous collision detection, terrible camera, bad ai, lots of bugs, and some of the worst clipping ive seen in a wrestling game in some time
Audio is passable with no mercy sound effects and ok music, whats not passable though is the lack of any voice work
I get your trying to be like the n64 but can we get something modern here
If you are a fan of the mobile version youll be happy to know nothing been removed so all the features are here your one on ones, tag team, 6 man elimination, and all your non copyright infringing wrestlers you name something from the mobile version its here
It has a decent career mode and got some nice stat building in form of training so how you perform really depends on what you put your training and attributes  into which provides a sense of challenge not being able to just sweep through everyone like 2k games
I choose David because he looks like Sandow
also worrying about things like creative control over your character, health and guaranteed money was a nice touch on a well thought out career mode.
Booking mode also fun too being a gm, signing wrestlers from other promotions and booking a better show then eveyone else, worrying about ratings and cash flow
This made me miss that 2k doesnt do anything similar in there games and i want to see more wrestling games with this mode in mind
Overall Wrestling Revolution 3D isnt
A terrible game its just one that doesnt really revolutionize the genre, while it has some nice features that can be fun  nostalga at times the excellent career mode cant stop the future endevour for being a botch machine, just get it for free on your phone
i give it a 4/10

Video Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Qqd-iR3Ekw

Its surprising how much content is lacking even compared to Toybox Racers from 3 years ago like they took a axe to toybox Turbos for instance instead of 35 cars from toybox
You have 12 cars in micro machines which all have the same slippery feel that never improves so GI Joe tank goes just as fast as the rest of them and no car has any distinct feel

The graphics are very bland with really uninspired track design that once again looks like they ripped tracks from toybox and put new paint over it, this even extends to the cars, while i like the customization here its once again lacking of meaningful unlocks and are just there to lengthing out the experience, also there this weird blur around the cars i cant for the love of god explain why but my guess its to cover up bad textures

So with the lack of content presented here its up to the gameplay to carry the whole experience, unfortunetly its falls flat it this regard too

You have 3 game modes, battle which is capture the zone where 2 teams of 6 hold a zone to rack up points and bomb run where one team has to grab a bomb in play and hold it in the enemy base till it explodes, its here where micromachines shows its most potential and i had the most enjoyment from but its ruined by these game types being random and another problem which ill get too in a moment
Race is where 12 cars race around a bland track with physics that feel there on ice as you shoot nerf in game advertised weapons at your opponents in a attempt to knock them off the track, same with elimination but you try to off screen each other for points
not only has the weapons been axed in both micro and toybox Turbos but this kind of in game advertisement puts a sour taste on this once great series and Codemasters should be ashamed of themselves for sinking hat low and ultimately hurt any kind of enjoyment i had with those 3 modes
The biggest issue Micro Machines has going for it is its a completely online experience which gutted any kind of single player experience besides practice matches, not that you'd notice its online as within my hours of testing since launch i only managed to run into 2 humans and the rest were ai which begs the question if they even tried with this game or did they lack any confidence that it would sell, one idea would of been to add different game modes to keep players invested!

Micromachines is a insult to racing car fans and old school fans of the series, it takes everything you loved from previous games and removes it to leave you a bare bones racer with no substance, a 4/10
