An awesome little visual novel that successfully evokes that decades old Sunrise vibe. You'll find yourself surprised at how gripped you are with the narrative if you let yourself get into it. The writing sneaks the tension right up on you, which is a feat considering the relatively short length of time it takes you to get through the game. Hope to see more not only from the studio, but definitely this universe, because as the ending makes it clear, things are just getting interesting in Sol!

The gimmick behind the gameplay sounds cool and plays fine for a while, but beyond a certain point the game simply throws ambushes at you at a pace that becomes predictable and obnoxious. These ambushes typically consist of the game spawning enemies directly behind you, and you may or may not get the audio or visual cues that are supposed to accompany this happening. The narrative itself isn't really capable of carrying the gameplay either; the fact that the story is mostly a meta self-affirmation for the protagonist's abilities really rubbed me the wrong way and prevented me from caring about what happened.
