Negative review because of gamebreaking bugs like event page after login can't be closed so you simply can't play the game - fixed.
Absolutely unacceptable for a game we spent hundreds of $ on: There's a chance when you start the game that during connecting it will freeze your whole computer. Can't close the game, can't open task manager, can't use/open anything. Only way is manual computer shutdown.
Until this is resolved the review will remain negative. I suggest others post negative reviews too so the devs work on this with top priority !

Best afk fishing simulator ever !
Well ... more than 2/3 of my playtime are indeed from afk fishing^^
But the game has a lot more to offer.
The graphics are stunning, the combat system is a lot of fun and you will NEVER run out of things to do in this game.
Is it pay 2 win ? Without a doubt: Yes, definitely ! Do i care ? No ... not in this game :-)
I don't (voluntarily) do pvp. I try to avoid getting sucked into any kind of gambling mechanic in this game. I don't buy anything for easy progress (aka costumes for crons - which is gambling anyway).
Though i still spent a lot of monies on this game compared to any other game i ever played.

In the end it's just such a beautiful game with an unbelievable amount of details they created here ... so sometimes for me it's just enough to just ride on my horse and enjoy the landscapes ... get to places where usually no one goes and still be overwhelmed by the detailed environment.
A game i thought i would never play when it was announced. Now a game i highly doubt i will stop playing before it disappears sometime in the future.

This was THE worst game release i've ever experienced so far.

Summary of problems i ran into during the Demo of this game:
Gamecrashes when accessing my inventory or any other tab in the menu.
Random gamecrashes in coop-mode.
Performance issues/lag.
Game starting on my 2nd screen on every start forcing me to change settings everytime.
Fullscreen mode locked the game completely with a blackscreen unable to switch back/change/close or even open anything on my 2nd screen - forcing me to restart my computer.

Summary of problems i experienced during release:
Game starting on 1 1/2 of my screens, though once i'm in the lobby it changes back to first screen only.
Random "Internet connectivity errors" during coop forcing my game to go back to start screen.
Random gamecrashes while trying to "start" the game, while trying to join a coop game or simply when i'm in the lobby.
Minor performance issues/lag.
One time i got back into the game and was asked to create a character ... my 4 characters were all gone. Luckily they were back after a restart.
After reconnecting to a friend's game my loadout switched back to the one we started the game with. Not sure if items collected were actually lost.

Out of 4 hours trying to play the game i was able to actually play for maybe 30 minutes ... the rest was errors/crashes/not being able to reconnect. It feels like an april fools joke ... though i paid 60€ for this one ... not funny !

This review is pure ranting about the horrible horrible connection problems of this game, the random crashes and also the sometimes very poor performance.
The actual gameplay/the game itself is fun and i really would like to see more of it ... so please fix the game !

Edit after about 60 hours of playtime:
Servers are definitely getting more stable now. Haven't had a connection error for 2 days.
Though some kind of menu crash seems back. For example in coop mode the game would crash everytime i try to look at the details of an item at any npc vendor.
Lag in coop games seems to be negligible now.
Random game crashes, black screens, game crashes after host migrations (after the host's game crashed, the other's did too.), those still happen quite often. And it seems after 1 type of crash is fixed it is just replaced with the next. ... all that just makes the otherwise mostly great game experience still not worth the pricetag for now. I am convinced all this will be fixed and i am also convinced i will edit my review again in the future and change it to a positive review.
But i simply can't recommend to buy it right now ... wait until this stuff is fixed ... it will spare you a lot of frustration.

Edit after 170 hours playtime:
Server connection errors seem not to occur anymore ... maybe once or twice but always able to log back in right away.
Random crashes are still the most frustrating thing with this game. It doesn't matter if you are looking at a menu, trying to use an item in your inventory, just standing in the Outriders camp or if you are in the middle of a fight. Random crashes have become very random. Sadly not less. Too bad if you were the host in an expedition in the last zone, a crash here means your team has to start from the beginning.
Performance issues are almost as random ... but teleporting/stuttering/lag issues still there, especially in coop mode.
And then there's things like shots not being registered, abilities not being executed, abilities not working as intended (for example a heal not healing), getting stuck in ability animations or even not being able to use any abilities or weapons anymore.
I'm sorry to say that i still won't recommend this game in it's current state ... but i think it's obvious that i won't stop trying :-)

Fun game for sure ... it's F2P ... so no harm in trying it :-)
It's still in Beta ... when i started playing it i liked how they tried to implement new ideas in a game like that.
During the last year they sadly either removed those things from the game or even changed them to the point they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gamebreaking features now or don't make any sense anymore related to the initial concept. For example the mount system ... maps were bigger in the beginning so you could mount up, get down and shoot, mount up again and get to a different location. Now mounts are solely to leave spawn and get to the objective ... once you use an ability/shoot or get shot you will get dismounted. And that's where the gamebreaking stuff comes in. This game is not about point control/killing anymore. It's about getting control of the objective once and then simply have 2 people shoot the enemies off their horses once they leave spawn so they won't reach the objective anymore before the timer runs out. They completely broke what they intended to do with those mounts in the beginning. As i don't really update my reviews here on Steam you'll have to check out yourself if they changed the mountsystem again ... as i said it's still in Beta and it's F2P !
Still a fun game ... that's why i keep playing it hoping for the better :-)

Playing this game for over 6 years now. Had some breaks for sure ... but i'll always come back to play it. The Devs are continually developing it, adding more and more content, changing content, making it interesting and new again.
That's why Warframe was always nominated by me (and probably thousands of others) for the Steam Award "Labor of Love".
This game is different to any other game i've played so far, starting from the characters (Warframes), the sheer endless choice of weaponry, the movement, the gamemodes. It's free to play ... so just give it a try and see for yourself :-)
Don't really wanna mention that here, though the question will come anyway: Is it pay 2 win ?
Imho definitely not. I don't play much PvP in this game but money won't help you improving anything to be better than anyone. For PvE ... sure, you can get your stuff faster, no farming needed ... but where's the point. Most fun in this game are the missions where you farm your equipment. You can easily farm enough to sell/trade to other players to buy whatever you need for ingame currency. I've always had more than i would ever need, though i still buy a Prime Access pack every now and then, simply because i play this game a lot and feel like the Devs are doing such an awesome job that they deserve my support.
Plains of Eidolon Update ... OMG ... as i said: Warframe will keep developing and improving !
