One of *the* most mediocre, poor attempts from your Triple-Aye-Industry of the second decade of 2020. I got this with my GPU when I needed a new PC to do game design classes. I had an incredibly memorable moment with a classmate who was looking forward to this title, where I watched them experience the first 30 minutes by themselves. This was after I had already spent about 8 hours playing the game myself and before the onslaught of critique came forward to my feeds. Short said, I have never felt so good about letting another inadvertently be angry about a game for me before. There are few games that make me feel so apathetic like Starfield did for me. I don't care about any characters or factions, it's all paper mache to me.

The only good thing about Starfield is how it essentially is a good example of how not to do either sci-fi, space travel, RPG, exploration or basically scope in general. A product so devoid of soul and an engine so absued that not even modders think it can be saved. Thousands of employees and years of development. What a waste!

Update: They did it, they brought back the Halloween update with a discount on top. 10/10

Ever since the M.U.G team took up the decaying husk of this title, this game has become an objectively better game. Comparing this to its shoddy jokes of a competitor (you know which) there's some serious fun and consistency to be found here.

A standing ovation goes to you, M.U.G. I did two Operations in a row and didn't crash once while being a client. The experience was some of the most fun I've had in a co-op game in a while. If I could, I'd genuinely fund the updates because I absolutely want more of this stuff! Here's to a hopeful return of the Halloween event.

Personal addendum; I do not often write reviews and I don't care to put much effort in it, but I think the game deserves a better review rating than it does.

Incredibly fun sandbox that's twice as fun with friends. It's slower than other sandboxes but picks up quickly after a few hours in once you pass through the sorta tutorial section. Devs are very attentive, creative and have been transparent about the process. I've big faith in this title and think it's a steal for what it offers.

In favor of what must be greed and ego, VRChat and its' devs decided EAC was the solution to all malicious activity that's been plaguing the program for years (ripping, DDOS, ip grabs, etc.)

I have no VR system and I do not use mods but I abjure every inch of this update. It has divided the community. I sincerely hope for the sake of VRChat that this is rerolled and a grovelling apology is issued as soon as possible.

Without your community, what's there to cultivate? The few who supports this are incredibly misguided. Please do some research and actually look up just how ineffective and outright malicious the kernel-level program EAC is. Even if you do not care for your data, it actively ruins your games and makes them play worse. It is one of the ugly barnacles that somehow stuck onto the 'modern gaming' norm, a thing that should have been cast away and burned long ago. Hell, I bet even BattleEye does a better job than it.

This situation is a joke.

Update: Game crashed after pressing E for tap water, roughly 40 minutes into it. FOV slider works but the guns are sucked in regardless of it, so I can't see the entire viewmodel. Ugh.

Note: 2K has acknowledged the issues and are working on a fix. The review changes when the update is here, and tested properly

I'd recommend it as a whole because it's still Bioshock with a little extra, but I highly advise others to mind the purchase due to the current price tag. For a game so old, and with so few actual updates to the game - I don't think 20€ is a fair trade, being a port and all.
The game currently has a lot of CTD's, lack of visual options and audio issues for a lot of players, including myself. However, it's still the great Bioshock we all loved from 2007. There's a new difficulity setting (albeit, it doesn't seem to add more than extra sponge to the bulletsponge.) and you no longer have to use a script in order to unlock the 60-FPS physics. The HUD and interfaces has been polished and looks pretty alright. I'll change my review once the devs fix the majority of the issues the community is facing. Now, would you kindly go get spliced up?

DREAMS
I WAS ALWAYS WRONG ABOUT DREAMS

What is UNLOVED?

UNLOVED is an FPS, rogue-lite journey into the darkest recesses of the mind and soul. Everything here is of rust, reeks of grime. It is aggressive and speaks of decay.
You play as yourself him the Fool who in his journey to the Abyss must face the horrors of a strange realm where no mortal should can exist.
Why am I here? Why am I doing this? What do the Memories mean? Are these monsters or merely over-imaginations of a fractured mind?

The game has design elements from Doom 2 and Silent Hill 2. It is loosely related to the "Doom WAD" of the same name[www.doomworld.com] made by the same genius behind it, Paul Schneider. This game was among his first work and this game was made by his efforts alone. It features randomized map seeds and a chaotic, unique 'spawn mechanic' that drives the difficulty and the chaos of the game, which some call the heat system. It's a lie. They just want the ammo, health and armor for themselves. Watch your greed, don't take everything you don't need

It has a simple gameplay loop:
Survive, gather the Crests, then fill the Blood Machines and get back to the Elevator; reap rewards and grow stronger. Become God of the Abyss. Mix up the pain with Challenges, randomize the layout, try the 'Town' or 'Clinics' and take in the amazing soundtrack forged by the genius James Dean. You can tune in for a taste here.[whatisvalis.bandcamp.com] The soundtrack alone is what makes UNLOVED special.

I CAN SMELL THE SLEEPING GODS OF THIS PLACE AS I DESCEND
I AM FINALLY HOME.

This game is a pain simulator.
It is unfair. It exudes hopelessness and it wants you to feel it. Subliminal and sometimes grotesque messages both hint and throw at you its' dark and hopeless embedding. Perhaps more to those who understand its' themes..

For most players, this is a big cut above the difficulty expected for someone new to it, regardless of FPS background. The game is intended to make you struggle for the precious loot. As you rise in power from obtaining Trinkets, Demon Chests and Rubies by winning games and finding the rare items, you will be able to face far worse onslaughts of resistance. Higher difficulties means the creatures of the Abyss demons monsters will gain new ways and strength to put you down, but with a friend online or by your own endurance, you may find solace in mastery or perhaps comfort in the frantic co-op action together. Maybe.

This game has less than okay issues, too.
Janky netcode/multiplayer being the biggest threat to your fun, visuals being a close second. Enemies are a little silly in terms of AI and can get stuck or pathfind strangely. Some technical issues regarding video RAM crashes and so on. Some of these can be fixed. Please leave a comment if you wish to know about any area, as I have some advice on how to fix it, which won't fit to mention here.

In short - this is a great RE-title, with the best co-op feel of all. It has great action and the Mercenaries mode is just alright. The story feels less impressive than the 4th game, but it's definately a solid recommendation to any person who likes thirdperson shooters or the RE-franchise.

This game is very P2W. But believe me; it isn't THAT bad. It's actually one of the more enjoyable Fear Online copies I've played. (Apart that this is 3rd person) I agree on most of the negative reviews; but I don't think it should be overlooked if you got nothing better to do and you absolutely loved Gears of War like I do. It's HEAVILY inspired by it.

Mind you, I've yet to catch up on the latest updates since about 4 months ago. I played it when it was in beta and the boss-fights were absolutely ridiculous. (P2W-enforced, really.)

Oh and the DLC/Store in this game has some of the most overpriced ♥♥♥♥ I've ever seen. 30 bucks for two guns, where one gun is only available for a week? Get out.

If you are a fan of 90's diamonds like Duke Nukem or Doom; then you will love Blood without a doubt.

Personally, I favour this over Duke (Even though they're very alike!) because of the mix of voxel and sprite graphics, and also because of the slightly more-so interactable enviroment. However, I think Duke Nukem 3D had the superiority in guns (Apart from tossing dynamites, which is close to a tie for me on Pipebombs.) because I found myself with much less supply and ranged abilities in Blood. In comparison to Doom and Duke; Blood doesn't give the player the classic "pistol-start", and instead gives them a melee weapon; which is useful and easy on anything that doesn't have too much mobility or ranged weaponry. (But to me, it's like trying to kick monsters in Duke. It requires aim, and practice.)

The cons about this game must be that it's made for DOS, thus making it more complex and limited to play for new users. I found myself having a bit of trouble with the controls at first. But rest assured; when you configure it with standard WASD-strafe movement and mouse-aiming it's all fun.

Truly a recommended game.
