Amazing game, the atmosphere is very captivating. I was worried because of the lack of any form of saving but it fits really well with the gameplay loop, information is by far your most important resource so I recommend keeping a notepad tab open!!!

Highly recommend, just extremely solid and enjoyable game. Nice music, nice aesthetic, and just simple and enjoyable gameplay. I do wish 3 pin and 100 pin had more than 1 course each and the springs can be janky as hell but hey.

I enjoyed Toree Saturn, I like the way the roll and dash work with the moveset from the first set of games, and there's a decent selection of levels to dive into. I do feel it's a bit short, and had more zany levels, a lot of them felt very straight forward. My biggest gripe is the post game content is kinda not there, the costumes are all costumes they don't have bonus effects like in the other games and the mini games are MINI, they last maybe 30 seconds and you've seen it all. The lack of any of Slactro's trademark weird spookyish things besides in 1 bonus level that barely counts also felt a bit eh. I still recommend this game, I enjoyed getting all the S ranks as much as the other Toree games.

I was worried with the game being full 3D that some of the magic would be lost in translation but nah this game is badass

The Genesis levels and most of the Mission levels are pretty fun, the JUJ2 levels are like pure ass. the biggest issue is just so much unreal jank in everything, especially with the boosters having terrible hitboxes.

This is 10 hours for a demo, if this was the full game I would be satisfied but this is just a slice of it, fantastic snappy movement, good game feel, and great art direction. I'll love playing this when it's done. The only issues I have is lack of controller rebindings ingame and the general lack of options (mostly because it lags my computer even on "Retro"), I'd love to be able to disable the bloom effects because I'm not the biggest fan of em and increase the brightness during night. Both those issues though can be solved easily in the final game though.

Early Access Review
I wouldn't recommend buying this game, yet, with a big yet, I feel this game has a lot of potential but falls short in some fixable ways. First the HUD is kinda ass, it's extremely small and hard to glance at for information with health especially being impossible to read, with how genuinely confusing and inconsistent the healing drops seemed to be I found myself dead when I had 0 clue I was in danger a lot.

Lack of clarity is the biggest issue that extends to the whole game, weapon controls for example, the pistol ultimate being a weird combo of buttons, but the shotgun's rage mode having it's own button that only works while holding it. This begs the question why not make it so the pistol ultimate uses the same button when holding the pistol instead of a stupid button combo you have to memorize from your inventory.

The other place the game is very hard to understand is the enemies specifically the sound design, all enemies seem to make similar if not the same noises so it's incredibly hard to tell them apart as well as their firing sounds and projectiles being extremely muddy to hear making it so dying to an enemy firing bullets into your ass straight behind you is too common an occurrence.

None of these would be too massive of issues if not for 1 massive issue that amplifies everything else, the pacing, the pacing in Reaver at the moment is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, It introduces what feels like 3 new enemies, a new weapon, and a 2000 word essay every level, I don't know what half my weapons even do, what's the appropriate situation to use them, etc. because the game will throw as much new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at you as fast as possible.I barely even understand what half the enemies I'm shooting do more than just "They are a melee enemy I think", combined with the other issues of strange controls, hard to read UI, and similar looking/sounding enemies makes Reaver a completely nauseating game that feels like it wants to aggressively assault your eyes and ears with as much rapid fire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as fast as possible.

With all that said, do I like the game. Yeah a decent amount, I say all these negative things in hopes for improvement because this game just released into Early Access and it's pretty ok for that, the music and visual style is great, the guns I think are unique (hard to tell because how little time I got to understand em) and I don't doubt that this game's eventual 1.0 will be pretty good but it has a lot of issues that make it so I can't recommend it in it's current state

Edit: It seems the game is abandoned, I won't recommend buying it
