USB bugs make this game unplayable. Mouse, keyboard, mic, audio all intermittently disconnect and reconnect only when this application is running. An FPS game where you lose complete control of your character randomly a half dozen times each match is a waste of time. I wouldn't install this game unless they announce a fix for the USB issue or unless you're able and willing to plug all of your USB devices directly into USB 3.0 ports on your PC without utilizing any hubs, KVMs, or 2.0 ports.

Early Access Review
I'm a fan of "tactical" shooters. I don't like the bunny-hopping, no-scoping, all-out sprint nonsense that is plaguing the FPS genre. Battlefield, while feeling grandiose in scope, is still very much an arcade game. And despite it throwing you into a squad, actual teamwork is non-existant. ARMA gets the scope of combat right and has tone that I find fitting for a realistic shooter, but the engine has always been clunky, buggy, and has terrible netcode. Half of my ARMA matches are spent staring at the red-links and watching vehicles rubberband across the map.

Squad to the rescue. This game has expansive and intersting maps, a growing arsenal of weapons and vehicles including deployables, and a beautifully crafted system of role distribution that practically forces squads to work as a team. Combined with a community that embraces new players and doesn't tolerate trolls, it has quickly become my favorite shooter. The dev team is fantastic and heavily involved in the community, the engine is rock solid and gorgeous, and I've never noticed a problem with the netcode. The brilliant weapon sounds deserve a special mention. When bullets are pinging past my head, I actually feel anxious. I don't feel that in any other shooter. I never have.

It doesn't feel like an early access game. It is a beautiful, sometimes terrifying, experience and I highly recommend it if you're tired of the run and gun arcade FPS scene and are looking for something that remains accessible but scratches your mil-sim itch.

I wanted so very much to like this game. I tried, I really did. I hung in there through numerous patches that were supposed to bring the game to the level that was promised from the beginning. And then I sign into Steam one day, and the devs have released the exact same game -- only with additional units, planets, etc. -- as a standalone expansion. No reduced cost for upgrading from the unfinished, buggy-as-hell game I already own. That takes a lot of nerve, Uber. I can't downvote your "new game" since I'll never own another one of your games. But I can not recommend this one, and hopefully keep at least one user out there from giving a shaddy developer another dime.

I'm glad Human Resources failed to fund its Kickstarter, while we're at it. I would have gotten my hopes up just so that you could screw me over a second time.
