Come back to reminisce the good old day. Got forced to install 500mbs of EGS. Game won't run without internet connection.
EGS is needed for crossplay which you can't opt-out. Retroactively added a malware garbage after almost a decade.

Best of all DLC pack to the date this review writen. You get one linear mission with good writing and story. One new soldier class; SPARK the robot which familiar to MEC from XCom Enemy Within but somewhat weaker. SPARK is strong if you can get them early but their usefulness drop once your solders getting armors and weapons upgrade, but SPARK do has difference ability set from human soldier so it still helpful.

One extra rookie with XCom EU armor will appear in your roaster. Aside from that, it only add one tier 1 armor with few decoration and face paint. Doesn't worth it's full price. The armor look ok, but it get obsolete fast since it is only tier 1 armor.

Just a few set of wacky looking silly nonsense armor decoration. Not worth the price but if you want to make them Advent feel ashame getting defeated by ridiculous looking soldiers then this is the DLC for you. Aside from that, it doesn't add much of anything.

This DLC didn't add much in term of extra gameplay or gimmick. You get a small new set of weaponry which obsolete fast and Boss Armor if you can defeat them. Boss Armors are strong. However, most of players not going to like the Alien Ruler aka the Boss alien. They use difference rule set from normal. They will get an action for every action your soldier taken instead of waiting for their turn like usual turn-base game. They are extremely strong and appear randomly in your mission which can be nuisance or frustrated to an unprepared player. If their health get too low, they will retreat from the battle but will not recover their loss health so you can finish them off next time you meet them.

If you did bought this DLC and don't want Alien Ruler from randomly appear until you are prepared and ready; tick the checkbox on Alien Ruler DLC when you start your game and not investigate the triangulate signal mission. The locator beacon mission is ok since it give you full set of Alien Hunter weaponry. If you didn't check the box then Alien Ruler can randomly appear anytime so beware.

Ever feel like that you are smart or tactical genius? Try XCom. It will kick you in the head, hard.

If you like to buy a game soundtrack, then this is not for you. It only give you half of the soundtrack instead of all of them. What a shame since Grey Goo OST is great. No idea why they not release all of them or have another pack for sell.

-Platformer which require precise control but the control were so bad.
-Bad voice acting
-Too many instant death ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in a lot of area
-Not sure if the game want you to fight or flight since a lot of times, you will face with unavoidable zombies that blocking your path
-Pause a game can cause a crash sometime

It not worth a full price, it is ok when the price drop since the game can be finish within short time, depend on how good you can figure thing out. (3-4 hours)
Beside, i don't see how this is "Survival Horror" in any mean. It is just a Platformer with bad control.
