Cutscene stuttering is so bad it makes the game impossible to enjoy. I can't believe they haven't fixed this issue.

I give it a "Thank God its not written by Anthony Burch"/10

Also it's a pretty engaging RPG with a nice aesthetic and some rather amusing characters, solid gunplay, and a satisfying grind for more gear.

And it was the beautiful beautiful days before Borderlands was infused with Social Justice and Politically Correct garbage.

8.5/10 (Mad Moxxi's underdome riot is a terrible DLC, the cutscenes are unskippable, and none of the DLC areas have fast travel points other than the one to access them)

I wanted to like this game, and I began to like this game. However this game does not want you to like it. I've had multiple crashes that cause you to lose all progress since the last checkpoint, and the general design of the game is flawed to an insane degree.

First off, the combat is slow, clunky, sluggish, from swinging the smallest dagger to the largest sword, or even rolling. The quickest rolling speed in this game feels like the overburdened roll from Dark Souls (DS3 is my only experience with the souls series, so any comparisons will be based off that.

Speaking of Dark Souls, remember how clever the bosses were, and how they were mostly fair, with all of their attacks being avoidable and just requiring of the player to learn their attacks and master the timing? Lords of the fallen says "Nahhh, lets make your rolls horribly inconsistent and make bosses with attacks that are just unavoidable. You can also completely screw yourself, as I didn't put enough points into strength so I couldn't use a weapon that would let me kill the last boss. The last boss deals multiple attacks that are just unavoidable, where instead of "getting good" or learning the attacks, you may as well just go and grind for 6 hours to finally be able to beat them

The bosses are slow and tedious, with boring and basic movesets. Visually they are interesting, if somewhat standard, but mechanically fall flat.

I was actually planning to go grind out some levels to complete my build to fight the final boss, but as I went into the catacombs the game crashes and I lost 20 minutes of progress.

Absolute waste of time and money.

I personally didn't find the game scary, at least not after the first hour or two. The enemies are somewhat trivial and not very frightening, and you're never lacking in light sources. Despite this, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. It has a great atmosphere, and the little voice acting there is is pretty good. It also leads into the sequel Black Plague nicely. For 10$, you can pick up this game and its sequel, and it is definitely worth it.

Amnesia TDD is a good game
Amnesia is a scary game
Amnesia is a disturbing game
Amnesia is a flawed game

Amnesia the Dark Descent if honestly terrifying, with a couple of sequences standing out as being absolutely horrifying. The game does not rely on jumpscares, hardly at all in fact. Even when there are "jumpscares," they never pull the crap of "spooky thing grabs your face and screams", there are no pointless jumpscares, and barely anything in the game feels cheap. I love this game, I really do, but my only real problem with this game is the way the enemies work. The enemies are scary, due mostly to amazing sound design. The problem, however, lies in the mechanics of the enemies. Instead of patrolling an area, they instead spawn near the player, wander around for a bit, and then despawn. This, in theory, could work, but the spawning system is not flawless. Despite the fact that this only happened once, it was very annoying when I was walking through the choir and an enemy spawns directly in front of me, causing a cheap an unavoidable death.

I like to focus on the problems in games, especially games I like. This problem is very small, and the game overall is worth it, and is absolutely terrifying.

Great game, at least an 8/10, but whoever did the port did a crappy job.
There is a section later in the game that is literally unbeatable at 60fps.
To fix this you have to quit to main menu, change to 30FPS, get past the QTE, then switch back.
Honestly Capcom, this is f**king pathetic, and the fact that this was never fixed is absolutely disgraceful.

People like this game?!

I've heard that this game started off great and fell off towards the end. On the contrary, I found the game unbearable from the first stealth section. The controls are fiddly and awkward, the FOV is way to low, and the stealth is extremely poorly explained. Most of the time I ended up just jumping around enemies once they spotted me, as the stealth was never consistent. The game also fails to do a hugely important thing in the horror genre: scare. I was never scared by these dumb and their stormtrooper accuracy and their somewhat poor voice acting.
The game also crashes if you alt tab, every single time, and has a pitiful options menu. I honestly don't see why people love this game and if someone could explain to me why that would be lovely.

Ultimately the only horror this game provided was that I wasted 3 hours (my whole f***king evening) playing it.

Great game, frequently crashes after the Ardent tower level.
The fact that this is still in the game and hasn't been fixed is pathetic. Would be a near perfect game if this was fixed.

Pathetic

Honestly terrible. I enjoyed it at first, and it had a neat concept, but so many times I died to controls not being responsive. this is little more than a "rage" game.
