This is a fantastic game, but I can't recommend the PC port. Here is the reason: The performance is like a roller coaster. Yesterday I could play this game at 60 fps without any issues whatsoever for over 7 hours straight, and when I wanted to play again today the performance was absolutely terrible. How can this be? I know the port is not the best, but I didn't change any settings, but all of a sudden it runs like ♥♥♥♥. Really destroyed my experience. So I'd say, if you don't have a good machine (which is actually crazy cause this game it literally over 15 years old and it should run like butter on every PC), don't buy this game.

The game is suffering from many problems, which they could have fixed with the remaster. Unfortunately they didn't, so it's basically only worth it when it's on sale and when you're a hardcore RE fan who wants to have the full story experience. The scenery and the music are pretty good, but every other aspect of this game feels incredibly outdated. Combat is clunky and not fun, the item management is annoying as hell and some of the enemies are just unfair (monkeys). On top of that you have multiple trial and error parts, which are especially tedious when you have to reload every single time from the title screen. Can't recommend.
