hey man havin prob with the mod i used the DOS4 i got 4 players able to join but cant get the character screen for the 3rd person.

Should only the host or all party members have a fix?

Either something like an antivirus is blocking edits to the .exe file or you're launching the wrong exe file. For example, maybe you made a copy of your EoCapp.exe and named it something like EoCapp4player.exe but you're launching the game through Steam and it's just launching the unmodified EoCapp.exe. I'd look over the files inside the Shipping folder. Note the "Date Modified" tag on the file and see if it updates after running the patcher. An error indicating that each player must have a main character assigned indicates the exe file has not been patched correctly.

I tried both through the app and manual editing. Still can't play more than two:( the error that the control player has the main character.

Start with fresh files and use the patcher application linked in the guide. If it doesn't work, describe in detail what isn't working.
