Starfield is an excellent Bethesda game and a very refreshing take on their formula. I went into it without pretty much any prior knowledge of the game and what to expect, I think a lot of the negative reviews are coming from people who expected a NMS-esque, star citizen + fallout intertwined game, this game is NOT similar in mechanics or gameplay-loop to NMS/Star citizen etc. and plays very much like a Bethesda game.

I've played through a couple of the factions and made my way through the main quest-line, and without spoiling anything, the story is well written and has a pretty great way to implement replay-ability without restarting the game.

Gameplay is fun, gunplay feels good, ships are fun to fly. Roleplaying elements are massive, with a more traditional style of dialogue options similar to the earlier Bethesda games. Skill tree feels impactful, if a little slow. Game looks beautiful in most areas.

Yes, there are definitely issues:-
Game is unoptimised, especially on Nvidia platforms. I had no issues with my RX6950XT / 7 5800X3D / 32GB setup, but others may not have as powerful of a machine, so I can't comment on this much. There has however been several patches improving performance with confirmed DLSS 3 support coming.
The nature of procedural generation can make planet exploration a tad boring, but this is a part of the game that I am not too invested in.
Crafting/food system could use some work
UI is a tad clunky in places

Fast travel is an OPTION - if you prefer to grav jump everywhere, then do it. It makes the game much more immersive and you get a lot of random encounters on your journeys, but you always have the option of fast travel to save some of the tedious tasks.

In its current state, I still believe that this game is incredible. The worldbuilding here is incredible and always the strongest point of any Bethesda game. The world feels lived in and plausible.

The criticism surely is valid, but looking at it from an overall package and from an enjoyment perspective, this is an incredible experience and I'm looking forward to seeing where the rest of the game takes me.

2GB install size, so much content, good levelling system, most of all though, gameplay is amazing. Most fun game I've played in years. Don't let the graphics fool you, gameplay is king and this proves it.

Scarily good, and still updated very regularly. Truly a physics sandbox. One of the only driving games that gives you the real sense of speed.

Excellent way to supplement learning how to play the guitar. I think the devs wanted the game to be the complete package of learning guitar but you really need to be learning via other resources too.

Once comfortable this game is fantastic for improving technique and learning various songs. Though it takes some work to be able to play songs without needing the notes on screen. I have been playing on a strat with single coils and the cable does give some nasty feedback sometimes, humbuckers are better for RS. Tones can vary in quality.

I'd recommend checking out the CDLC, hundreds of custom made songs of various qualities and a good way to learn songs that are not in the game.

I'm a little disappointed that some of the official DLC cuts off parts of some songs.

Overall: 7/10

Best F1 game to date. Improved physics and MyTeam are very welcome additions to this years game. My only gripe with this game is the occasional crashes and the stupid podium pass. I miss when you payed £40 for a game and actually got all the content that came with it just by playing the game. Apart from that money grab, it's a very decent f1 title.

Fantastic simulator. Can run on anything, and the modding scene is massive. Great FFB and handling model, graphics are good considering it came out in 2014, and can be improved upon with mods such as CSP and SOL. Definitely recommend getting the ultimate edition, it usually goes on sale for dirt cheap.
The open online lobbies are very much hit or miss as they can have wide skill ranges and often trolls, organised racing is the way to go and not hard to get into, discord communities, reddit, sim racing system etc. all offer some ways to race in a better way.
Wouldn't recommend if you don't have a FFB wheel, but some players do use a mouse with various levels of success.

Very fun party game, great way to kill time. A few issues with servers and hackers but the server issues seem to be less frequent and they're addressing some of the hacking issues in the next update.
Very much looking forward to what new games come in the new update.

First hour of playing: Ridiculously pretty graphics; some of the best I've ever seen and it ran surprisingly well on ultra at 40-70fps on my GTX 1060, which is impressive considering the graphical fidelity. The gameplay being fairly slow paced means running on those frames are fine and is not too noticeable.

The gameplay is.. interesting. Very slow, of course, and very realistic. It was very fun though.

Very very glitchy however, most of the animals I managed to track and kill ended up getting stuck on a tree, meaning I could shoot them easily. I also don't understand how multiple bullets to the head of a deer and black bear doesn't kill them.

So far, I've had a good experience, that's been carried by the immersion from the graphics and sound, I'll update after playing some more.

(14.3 hours on record so far) I've only completed the main questline and a couple of side quests, but I've been absolutely loving it. Awesome combat, movement and overall gameplay. Love the mix of parkour/free running like a badass whilst taking out zombies in many different ways. Graphics are beautifully thrilling and the atmosphere is really good. Though most of the complaints of this game come from the storyline, I actually enjoyed it. It's nothing special, but it wasn't too bad. Predictable. I enjoyed the characters quite a bit unlike many others. I've got the side quests and DLC to look forward to and I'm looking forward to it. I didn't think I'd be into this game as much as I am, and I don't regret my purchase in the slightest. Though the game can be played co-op, I've played it all solo and enjoyed the extra challenge. At lower levels it can become very difficult but after the first few hours when you've specced your skill trees a bit, it becomes even more of a blast. However. I'm really pissed at the fact that the last boss battle was A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ QUICKTIME EVENT. Other than that, awesome game.
