Adorable artstyle, genuinely creepy stuff. Some specific tracks can be so loud it actually hurts, but it does make for very panic-inducing moments—even if only to just get things over with so the background noise ends. Overall hope this project takes flight and gets the plays it deserves

Some nice ideas but it's an overall poorly balanced and a frustrating experience. I would say more but the playerbase has been actively doxxing people that criticise the multi-million dollar corporation and the community and its community managers are in on the harassment, so it's ill-advised.

That, of course, has got nothing to do with the game and is just a little fun fact I wanted to leave in my negative review. I sure do hope it paints a picture of the kind of environment you're going into. This is a live service game that's a terrible experience and is actively being decayed from within.

Level design is neat, and the visuals are quite good. Weapon tracking on the Quest 3 is really decent as well, though the virtual arms are not scaled with height it seems. Easily fixed by turning them off in-game.

The negative aspect of this game is the telegraphing of enemy attacks. Most enemies are fine in that regard, but towards the middle of the game enemies attack incredibly fast, with inconsistent animation speeds that make me think that sometimes due to lag, an animation will complete in only a few frames to compensate for instructions buffered. These attacks are hardly telegraphed as well I find, making combat a miserable experience.

And ignoring those issues, enemies will often times jump too close to you and swing their swords around any possible guard you can throw, resulting in their own arcs hitting you in your back. Your hilt and their arms do not constitute as hitboxes you can block with or against. If you do not get your weapon in the way of their blade or staff or stick it will hurt you, and that's a major problem given that these guys have no sense of personal space and will clip their arms through your weapons or even your shield to swing behind you and graze you with the lower end of their weapon's hitbox. It makes combat absolutely frustrating, especially when you're in the flow with several enemies and then they start jumping into you without recourse and then all your guards are rendered useless.

There are other issues too, like the absence of renewable healing, coupled with the finite means of actually healing yourself outside of standing around and twiddling your thumbs for a couple minutes if you've unlocked regeneration. For people trying to create a game around the Dark Souls formula, they somehow didn't think to add this feature over, which was one of the largest reasons why encounters in that game weren't completely unbearable despite how unforgiving they tended to be.

And speaking of unforgiving, your resources for crafting weapons is even more limited. There is a robust mix-and-match style to building your own weapons which I particularly like, but in order to build these weapons to your own liking you have to spend extremely rare resources that do not renew without progression and exploration. This would be fine for upgrade materials, but for simply crafting new weapons to have fun with it is a little baffling. It would help if you could scrap weapons for their materials back should you realise you don't like the way they play or feel, but the option isn't available.

So whilst being MORE unforgiving than Dark Souls, it is also MORE frustrating to play than your average janky swordplay VR title. An honest shame, given that this seems like a great narrative experience. Not to mention it's not a sandbox game, it's got well crafted levels and neat environments, which is in of itself very cool. I do not recommend this game based on my experience with the combat alone.

Outstanding puzzle game that utilises the logic of inductive reasoning to solve every element of its mystery. Stare at hands, shoes, hammock numbers, and racially profile everyone by their accents and cultural aspects. The Obra Dinn was cursed from the start, and its crew were doomed to perish. If that was not a satisfying summary, then this game is right for you.

Incredible survival horror game with the gameplay from Condemned, the visuals from Cosmology of Kyoto, and the atmosphere of Siren. Phenomenally well made and well worth a try, especially if you loved teh combat of Condemned and wished there was a sequel set in Sengoku Japan Jigoku Edition. Even the premise is kind of similar, with there being some total systemic decay of society/reality itself, and you, the MC, take it upon his shoulders to become the ultimate Hobo Warrior and you crawl through muck and grime to kill mentally ill decrepit people with a ball-peen hammer while they try to beat your face in with a 2x4 they ripped off a door jamb. Very frantic and awesome.

Infuriating tedius action where you run around for what feels like hours trying to find an exfil only to die to a stray bullet to the head. Gunplay is incredibly fun however. Game's no longer updating, but it's cheap as dirt and good for just some tense fun. Recommended if you like the gunplay from Tarkov, and also love the feeling of always being hopelessly lost and confused and unable to find the extracts.

Take note that you are on a time limit, as opposed to what the game description says. If you stay too long your enemies will become nigh unkillable and drop you like a fly. Also take note that the health upgrade is entirely necessary, but once you max it out the game becomes kind of boring.

Seriously, this game could really do with a map or compass or something, or more levels like Apartments. My one greatest gripe is the difficulty in finding an extract and navigating this place.

Incredible game. If you enjoy Metroidvanias and/or Sekiro, this is definitively a game for you. The story is engaging, and the characters are adorable. The combat is smooth and exploration is a blast. My only gripe with this game is that bosses can be a slight roadblock if you're having difficulty with them, but exercise patience and learn their moves. Every Sol is no trivial task, and every victory is a burst of satisfaction.

Incredible story that had me playing the entire thing in one sitting. Some of the fetch quests in this game can be a little obtuse, and that's roughly where the 0.9 hours of my time went, but even experiencing that frustration, I'd still say it was worth it.

Locking achievements behind a paywall is beyond awful. It's so minor, yet so incompetent at best. Nevermind the sheer asking price for a handful of extra vehicle levels, or the fact that you can't use the Trident Washer for some reason, that alone is cause enough for this to be a terrible purchase and practice.

Good game, but do not buy. Dodgy practices and overpriced DLCs. Cannot morally recommend you buy it from STEAM. There are many ways skin a cat, however...
