Great game, as good as I remember it but running at a higher resolution. The art isn't exactly to my taste (it feels a bit like American Anime) but the original had the same "issue".
Simply put, currently there is no better match-3 game on Steam.

Also: The AI isn't cheating, it's a skill issue

There is a good game buried somewhere deep under convoluted systems and subpar controller support.
The gameplay loop of the dungeon exploring is quite fun, when you get back to town it quickly becomes a mess: walls of unnecessary text, every visit unlocks 10 new options which are barely explained, buildings with vague requirements,no easy way to keep track of which villager wants what. Unfortunately you do have to spend some time there to unlock new runs and items, but the town is certainly the least fun part of a run.

With Mouse/keyboard the game is fine but feels a bit off, especially since controls are nowhere to be found you kinda have to guess hotkeys (if there are any).
Although a controller works decent for the most part, navigating menu's is awful (the treasure hunter is plain broken with controller) and disappearing tool tips don't help.

1,5 years ago they released V1.0, but it still feels like an unpolished early access game.
It absolutely has potential to become an amazing game but there's a long road ahead.

It reminds me of the game "Road Trip" for PS2 which I absolutely love, albeit with a more adult theme and a little less content. Price might be a bit steep, but at €15 or lower I would definitely recommend it.

Not comparable with Paradise Killer at all, but for me that's a good thing since I hated that game once the trial began.

OST is banging (which is the only thing it has in common with Paradise Killer), I'll be waiting for the vinyl release

The game is divided into two main parts: an investigation and a trial.

The investigation part is fine. Visuals are pretty neat and the soundtrack is banging. Voice actors are atrocious (please devs, hire professionals instead of friends/family) but overal I had a good time.

As soon as you start the trial part all gameplay goes out the window. Did you gather enough clues? Great, you made it. If not, too bad.
Unlike other detective games (like Phoenix Wright) there are no choices to be made during the trial and you'll only be pressing A to get through the text.

After almost 10 hours I quit during the second trial because it felt I was just manually going through the credits.

What an awful and lazy game.

It looks like a standard Unity game with free assets.
Animations are something special, those pre-date the Unity era where everybody walks like a gangster and just glide over the floor. When customers are using computers they just use the force and control everything without actually touching stuff (or even act like they are using similar peripherals)

You can also notice the amazing eye of detail/polishing in this game:
- Nothing is to scale. People only take up 1/4th of a chair and just look like creepy midgets
- Placing inventory is bare bones and barely works, it's like the dev (I can't imagine there's more than one) thought "ehhh, good enough"
- Doors. Trust me, you'll get stuck behind every door in the game

But even a crappy looking game can be fun with some good gameplay. Unfortunately it's not found here.
I'll spoil the gameplay loop:
- Buy random stuff
- Place random stuff
- Earn money from gangsters who use your random stuff
- Repeat
There is no management present in this game

The thing that flabbergasted me the most is that it current has "Mostly positive" reviews.
If those people discovered the game "Watch paint dry" they would have a blast

Can't recommend the game in this state.
There is a substantial delay between hitting the notes and the sound they make.
For easier songs this isn't much of a problem, but once you ramp up the difficulty and have to hit a lot of notes in a short time frame, the audio becomes messed up and disorientating.

There is an in game setting for audio sync, but that only changes the timing of the notes appearing and doesn't fix the audio.

Underneath is an amazing game, but I can only recommend the PS4 version

Although two of the power-ups feel a bit tacked on (You won't even need them to complete the game), the rest is awesome. Looks gorgeous and plays smooth. A great "finish in one day" game!

Game does not like opening the map, it has crashed several times for me now. Last time it crashed lost 2 hours of progress, goodbye Bioshock Remastered. Low score for a lazy remaster.
