A lot of fun for only 3 dollars. They will be adding multiplayer in the future which will make it even better.

Once you get past the first couple ranks the game is pay to play. You won't be able to maintain enough "Silver Lions" (in game currency for repairing vehicles, purchasing new vehicles, replenishing ammo, ect.) to play without a premium account and premium vehicles. The grind to top tier vehicles (which gaijin focuses most of their advertising on) is also atrociously long. If you played for an hour or two every day it would probably take 2 years to get to the top of a single tech tree with an active premium account. I honestly think they should get rid of Silver Lions entirely, you should be able to research and slot vehicles with no cost. The cost should be the time you spent grinding for the vehicle, but instead we have to constantly worry about maintaining a high enough Silver Lion balance while everything gets more and more expensive the higher in the tech tree you go. I would stay away until there is some economy changes.

Gaijin has made some economy changes over the past year that has improved the experience and I am cautiously optimistic. You will still need a premium account to unlock anything in a reasonable amount of time.

The game had a lot of performance issues at launch, I took a break from playing so they could iron out the issues. Other than having to re-compile shaders after every major update, I've been able to play the second half of the game with no issues. On ultra settings at 3440x1440p resolution, I'm averaging around 70 FPS with a 7900XTX. When the game first came out I would average around 50 FPS and get lots of stuttering, freezing, and frame drops, so it has definitely improved. The game is pretty hungry for VRAM also so if you have less than 16GB's you may have a bad experience. When it comes to story and gameplay, the game is an absolute masterpiece. Never having owned a Playstation I haven't had an opportunity to play the game until now. Unfortunately I watched the HBO show first before playing the game, I wish I had waited to play the game first. There are many gut wrenching moments in the game that were less potent as a result. But to conclude, If you have a decent gaming rig with adequate amounts of VRAM you should have a good time with this game.
