5+ years later and this game is still lacking basic features, and the ui is just an absolute pain in the ass to use. Now that multiplayer has been removed I still doubt we'll see any major improvements in the feature.

They act like features that the community have wanted for years are completely impossible to implement- then modders go and implement them within a week's time.

Another one of those games that struggles under the weight of devs who don't even play their own game.

Fun game, running feels really great and the music compliments it perfectly (except for that one wonky type beat you sometimes hear in the weird areas)

Landfall put a lot of effort into the characters and story, but it feels a little underdeveloped- and while I found the last fight to be really fun and challenging, the ending left me feeling pretty disappointed. I understand that there's endless and disaster, but the lack of content kinda puts me off for the price I paid. Would've at least liked to see some alternate playable characters.

A decent horror game to play with friends, but a majority of the environments hardly have any liminal horror factor to them. They feel incredibly 'gamey' and resemble the backrooms only lightly.

For example, the entire first level (Which takes place in the Backrooms Backrooms) is made up of these single wall segments. They're basically just thrown around randomly, with a few variations with hidey holes in them. This leaves the map feeling like.. not scary at all- or even moderately interesting to explore.

Level layouts in general are very very bland. You'll notice a lot of repeating patterns no matter what level you're in. Not in a fun/spooky liminal way, but in a 'lazy game design' kinda way.

There's a couple reasons you might like this game!

1. Super easy!
I've barely played monster hunter before and I beat this in a few days!

2. Nostalgic vibes!
This game reminds me of how EVERY game used to run on my piece of ♥♥♥♥ $600 laptop! Now I can relive that feeling on my $3k gaming PC without having to rip out my hardware piece by piece! And if that isn't your thing? Don't worry! You can just use the DLSS frame generation feature (enabled by default!) to make your game look like ♥♥♥♥ instead!

3. Developers that care
Capcom has really been paying attention to community feedback, cracking down on modders and giving us even MORE cosmetic dlc!

4. Tons of content
Already through the story mode? Don't worry, you have the opportunity to fight the same monsters over and over again, for as long as you'd like! We even have different variants for (some of) them that die even faster than their normal counterparts, yippie!

$10 cosmetic dlc can't save this game, helldivers 2 killed and buried it a while back

Creature creation is held back severely by odd design choices. For example, you can't place any sort of part on a limb, it's difficult and sometimes outright impossible to place features/decorations on top of each other as well, which can prove to be really frustrating. Its just a little odd that a game from 2009 still tops this

I don't have a problem with AI art in general, but good god. Even the stock assets looked less out of place compared to the new additions

Free version is better-

Not enough content for the price, honestly.
