If you are playing in friendly lobbies, the player base is one of the most amazing I've seen in a very long time. People help each other out and have fun together. If you want to team up with your friends and try to stay friendly, you will run into more aggressive teams, but not all teams shoot on sight.

Highly repetitive.
It's fun for a couple of rounds and I've had a few silly laughs with my friends but it becomes boring very quickly.

Wait until there is more content or it's out of early access.

I bought this 10 years ago, nothing has changed, it's still in early access. I tried it again and I don't know what I expected, I want my money back, 10 years later XD

Great fun so far, I can see it getting repetitive as most games like this do so I hope they have plans to add maps and game modes, but it's free so that makes it a great game to have in rotation.

For any negative reviews concerning the movement speed, try changing your FOV, and then getting your head checked, this is no reason to give it a negative score, even if the devs had made that change they would have done it for a good gameplay reason or from payer feedback.
