A perfect sequel to the original.
There is 1 main story (before DLC and MODS!?!) and it took me 7 hours to complete on normal.
A ton of variation possible between playthroughs, a minor complaint I had with the original which felt like only 2 paths.
On normal it was a small matter of reacting to problem as they emerged, didn't need to be especially proactive.

Everything has been abstracted up one level. So instead of dealing with say, coal, piece by piece you're dealing with coal supply. Instead of housing every single person you're supplying an amount of shelter. Population is in the thousands and no more micromanaging workers.
It feels like we went from city management to society management and all parts of the game reflect that change nicely.
The flavour and thematic components are much more varied and regular helping with immersion. The laws are much more varied and CAN BE CHANGED. And the factions I encountered felt like real groups with competing interests.
Can't wait for DLC and Mods.
