my favorite part about this game is that it lets you unleash weapons of mass destruction on whichever faction you think kinda deserves it (spoiler: they all kinda do)

really looking forward to what else they're gonna add to this game, seeing as there are so many iconic bosses (and weapons 👀) in the souls series that didn't make it.
speaking of bosses: kinda funny to include Centipede Demon, one of Dark Souls 1's biggest "nothing" bosses that somehow still gets dunked on by every single build, player and summon the game has. kinda wish we had gotten SmoughStein from DS1 and maybe Darklurker or Fume Knight from DS2. I really enjoyed the inclusion of Nameless King and Dancer from 3 even though for some reason the Dancer has felt very rare and also kinda weak so far. DS3 imo has the most interesting bosses that could still get added with the Twin Princes, Dragonslayer Armour as a field boss, Pontiff and mayhaps even Gael.

other than new bosses, there's a lot of other ways FromSoft could keep things fresh in the long run. maybe some standard challenges that you can specifically queue for or even weekly challenge runs and seeded (challenge) runs. new maps and new shifting earth events. it would be hilarious to also do something like actual roaming bosses or putting bosses on bigger patrol routes to keep you on your toes. so far only the Fell Omen raid and the rain can mess with your plans/your route and there's only one evergaol on the whole map where you can accidentally aggro a field boss which could force you to postpone clearing the gaol. maybe the Pursuer from DS2 could be introduced as a raid where he randomly spawns for example in the castle to make farming those runes a little riskier.

for now I am very excited about the Sovereign versions of the Nightlords and the base game has been well worth the purchase even without any cool new stuff coming out. highly recommended

Early Access Review
The gameplay might be very repetitive but it's very easy to jump into a lobby with random people and share some memorable moments with each other. If the base game ever gets too boring there's also tons of mods to spice things up again or completely ruin them with pure brainrot, if that's what you prefer.
PS: I kinda wish that the mimic enemy would repeat previous phrases of players to make them even more of a menace.

there's absolutely no reason to buy this on steam. it's a great game, even without the expansions. buuuut you should probably just get the (less expensive) complete edition. I will pick being able to play conflux over having these "hd" textures every day of my life

for the amount of money, you're going to get a LOT of content. tons of characters with unique mechanics. lots of different weapons and an incredible amount of items that can instantly turn around a run. there's a small chance that you're actually going to get a specific build you want to play simply because the items you get are random but if you know what you're doing, it's more likely for you to get a god run where you get just the right items when you need them. before the implementation of the endless mode the game felt just a little underwhelming when you got an incredible run and the game just stopped you after beating the final wave in five seconds. but now I can keep playing until I eventually get two-tapped on wave 40

one of those roguelikes that I wish I had on every gaming system that I own. it's very "easy to learn, hard to master" because there's so many variables to each run and sometimes you feel like a run is just completely doomed and you had no chance of beating it but then you might get a run immediately afterwards that almost plays itself (total exaggeration but still). there's still a lot of stuff for me to try out and a lot of challenges to beat and I'm looking forward to it all
