Is yet to add anything to the original game.

The hub upgrade mechanics that are (I assume) borrowed from Cult of the Lamb are neat, but provide nothing to the game. They provide no incentive to play the game beyond completing a run (which was already the objective of the game, even without the upgrades). They need to provide objectives in a run that were not already possible without them (otherwise, they are superfluous). As of now, they could be removed and the game play would remain the exact same.

The new enemies and bosses are nice, but this is the bear minimum of what is to expected from a sequel. More, these enemies/bosses are not 𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 but just 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 from the original game. They feel like just another Hades I enemy, and not a new Hades II enemy.

I understand that the boons are a work in progress, but they are still an overall downgrade from the original. They do not alter the game enough. Additionally, the weapons are a bland mess.

Overall, 1/10 squeal. In its current state, this game has absolutely no reason to exist.
