Oh boy is the writing insufferable, and the mediocre voice acting isn't helping.
Gamplay is actually pretty decent, although I wouldn't grit my teeth through all the tedious obstacle courses ("puzzles") and lazy writing to experience more of it.

Graphics are quite good, however I did have some stuttering issues. Also had some weird bugged NPC behaviour, and after I glitched inside a wall I decided it was time to call it quits.

I really want to like this game, but there's so many annoying issues. In particular the mushy overly-complicated controls (controller, but keyboard is workable but not much more enjoyable), but also other small problems just add up on the frustration meter, like NPC interactions taking an eternity to "set you free from prison", eternal loading times, mechanic fatigue, etc.

I'm going to let them cook this for a while with patches before I come back, seems they are listening. Beacuse there is a good game here under the issues, but I don't want to feel like I'm digging it out either.

Buggy, horrible tutorial, unclear progression, bad ui + overlapping text.
Plays more like a simple puzzle game than a train sandbox.

Gave up after all the trains got stuck on empty tracks.

Absolutely amazing. Super addicting gameplay! And well written characters. The story was a bit all over the place though, not necessarily bad.
Monster designs are certainly interesting and something new and different.

There's tons of bugs, weird NPC behavior, the occasional crash to desktop, jank faces and animations, horrible UI.

10/10 remaster and a return to form, highly recommended.

This is exactly what I needed, a good remaster, captures the spirit of the original completely. It's a time-machine back to childhood. Everything has been improved, visuals, sound, quality of life. I do feel like they could've just re-vamped the UI completely though and just ripped off the UI mod from the original... and stopped using the enter key in addition to the "activate" key. But I don't have any huge complaints really.

On the more technical side:
I had 5 crashes, so there's some unintended jank here still. The performance is good enough, but turn of DLSS and it's not good, not unplayable or anything, just on the bad side (i7 14700K / 4070 Ti). So if you don't like the AI blur you might want to wait a little bit.
It feels like there's some big input lag going on here as well, might be the same as in the original, I'm not going to compare myself.

Still, highly recommended!

Very good! A massive improvement over the first game, but you could always try the first game first since it's free to play. :)

I feel like I've time-traveled back to the old gaming days, when games were just simple good fun. Overall it feels like watching the original movies.

Probably the best VR experience I've ever had.

I see there's a influx of bad reviews, but I don't have anything to complain about. It would be nice to see more free paint jobs though, just basic colors or something.
