One of the best game ever released, and yet it seems to fall short of its full potential. Too many unpolished bits especially in the later chapters, and if the rumours were true, so many cut content left on the table.

Just like Divinity: Original Sin 1 & 2, the final act has a noticeable drop in quality where some plot-threads were either dropped or felt extremely rushed, and the ending is no different. That being said, I still find the final act of this game a lot more enjoyable than the previous instalments, with one of the optional boss in act 3 being one of my favourite fights across all CRPG games I've played.

Even if we ignore the data-mined content, there was quite a non-insignificant amount of material cut from the early access Patch 9 version which I find to be quite perplexing. Still, we can only wait and see if there is going to be a definitive edition, and if any amount of content will be added, if at all.

Had hours having fun with this game. I can recommend it to anyone who enjoys a very atmospheric settlement simulator.

10/10 really fun overall. Some issues with connectivity when playing with friends, but it seems somewhat better than last year.

If you experience error code 5038f-MW1 this is how I was able to play with my friend. Let the host start a really easy short quest and join that quest, you will disconnected after the mission starts. This is fine. Rejoin the host's session and you should be stable now (hopefully). I don't really understand why this works for me but it seems like a reliable way to do it.

Obviously this might not work for all of you, but I hope it does.

If you enjoyed Bastion, you should try this game.
It's distinct enough from Bastion with it's new combat system, sci-fi theme and unique narration.. but you still get what you'd expect from Supergiant Games.
