This quickly became one of my favorite games, I went in with no expectations and fell in love!

The game feels like it borrows from other genres to be it's own thing. People seem to have issues with the melee combat and the inventory/looting, the melee combat could be considered clunky, but to me it felt more of a style to force slower more realistic fighting, and you get enough guns a couple hours into the game to never use melee again if you loot around and focus on head shots. Perks you unlock after playing help a lot with all combat.

The draw (what pulls you in):
  • Story & Exploration ... (Once I found a secret area behind a waterfall with loot, I knew it was going to be fun exploring every inch of the maps)

Theme:
  • This is where it's kinda like Fallout, but British ... It wouldn't surprise me if Fallout and Bioshock were used as inspiration.

Thoughts:
This game was made to be played slow, it was created with great attention to detail (hitting reload when your gun is full, does a cool animation unique to each weapon), it has great environmental storytelling ... It rewards inspecting each area (looking into the partially open filing cabinets, or looking at the different shelves in a cabinet) and playing safely, making sure to be prepared and being careful. Killing a mob of 5 enemies with a grenade for the first time was amazing after trying to fight them with a club.

Also the way "quests" were done was a unique approach the I enjoyed, it reminded me of Outer Wilds, where you find pieces of information that start to link together and point you in the direction of where to go next.

And bonus points for being verified on the deck!

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with the game, well worth the price for me and I can't wait to see what they do next in this series!

This game was such a fun adventure! Played it on the Steam Deck OLED, ran great and colors popped!

Loved the unique art style! The smoke effects and the level effects of lava lamp like fluids were awesome.

There was no combat, instead it's all about exploration, and conquering clever puzzles with the several items you can unlock.

Made by one guy (Billy created everything down to the game engine), and with a size under 40MB, a great example of how wonderful indie games and gaming can be!
