Ive been playing raid for around 4 months before it came to steam. Its a gotcha style game that just does so many things right over so many others in the same genre! Paying for anything in game isnt required for ANY aspect of the game, Can it help? sure, but its never required. Gems (in-game premium currency) can almost be farmed through various activities, champs can be sourced from almost every part of the game through shards. EVERYTHING is farm-able is what im trying to say.

One of my favourite features of the game is that there is no best champion and gear set. Theres certainly good ways to build each champ but its not a use this and your good forever. The gear, champs and even party will greatly vary depending on the content your doing. eg an arena build isnt going to be as effective in dungeons. This may sound obvious but it matters. So many people think that just because they can do a certain bit of content they can do the next thing they choose. YOU WILL get slapped down hard (I know from experience), so if your willing to learn the mechanics, how to build champs and farm more gear than you ever thought you would be willing to do so. Then this may just be the game for you.

The only con I have with the game is the spamming of adverts when you first start playing and go to the menu screen. This does stop after a few minutes but it can be rather annoying.

If You would like to join my clan just search: Born of Blood in clan finder

I have included some tips for any new players to help get them started in the game;
New player priority: campaign (up to clearing brutal) > arena/faction wars > keeps/dungeons > farming food/gear > clan boss (start at team power of 30-40k)

- KEEP THESE AS A PRIORITY IF YOU GET THEM: Bellower (7 second campaign farmer/spider), Fellhound (7 second campaign farmer), Treeshield Knott (multi revivor), Renegade (ability cooldown), Apothecary (speed and heals), coldheart (Boss killer) and Warmaiden (early game decrease defense)
- Level rares to 30 and use in faction wars (swap them out with epic/legend as you get them)
- Keep all shards (except greens) until a summon event. helps with mercy system and gives better chances at higher rank champs
- Dont try to win every tournament but if your able to be in the top 10 for a reward, dont avoid doing it
- Events are similar but generally involve more grinding so plan for which ones are going to be best for you
- If you only have 5mins to play each day at least do your 5 arena battles for a energy pot and to claim your daily forge mats. If you can afk, after 1hour you get an energy pot from playtime rewards each day
- If your getting multiple of the same champs, feed them to each other to increase their skills without using a skill book
- Not sure what to do? look at your quests/missions to keep your progress going
- Only get and max the gem mine if your planning to play for a long time. once maxed it will take roughly 6months to recoup the total cost and then its pure profit
- Buy any green and blue gems from the market (blues are capped at 5 per month) and NEVER refresh the market
- Faction wars only costs a key (no energy) if you clear that level. If you wipe then you wont lose a key so dont be afraid to push the next level
- IMO the only store items worth it are the daily gems, forge pass (more mid game) and faction pass. it is your money so spend it how you see fit, these are only what i think is worth it
