I'm not going to bother writing most of the downsides to this game, as literally every single thing I could bring up is already stated quite clearly in the rest of these reviews. Instead, let me cover the things that make this game fun to play despite all of its numerous issues.

The community can be amazing. I'm not saying it always will be, and honestly I may just be incredibly lucky, but here's my reason for saying this. I played the game for about two days before I stumbled across the recipe to make my own club. My close friend and I who were playing together did about four days of grinding and walked away with a club of our own. We built a few buildings just to get started, then I started inviting every single person I saw in the starting levels who didn't have a club yet, as well as everyone looking for a club invite in global. Within a month we had over 150 members, and a club world I am honestly proud of. All of our architects and officers are dedicated and friendly, helping new members learn game mechanics and running them through shadow towers on a regular basis. We ended up setting up a Discord channel recently, and I've grown to have real friends amongst the people in my club.

Everything is obtainable without paying a penny. Yeah, people talk endlessly in these reviews how you have to pay real money for classes, styles, mounts, tomes, everything. That just isn't true. The only things that you have to pay real money for are the styles you get for being a recurring customer, and honestly those look like ♥♥♥♥. If you want to know more about how to get EVERYTHING for in game currency, no real money purchases, check at the bottom of this review.

It has the simplest combat of any MMO I have ever played, and that's nice. I've played a whole bunch of MMOs in my time, and Trove is awesome because there's just as much intensity in the combat as there is in a game like WoW, but you don't have to worry about two or three bars full of abilities for every character. Simple and fast paced combat makes everything better in my opinion.

There is a TON of content. It will easily take thousands of hours of playtime before you get your hands on the last of the cool mounts you want, or that last upgrade for your gear. You may turn around and say that's a bad thing, because it'll get boring after a while. Well, you'd be right if it wasn't for the fact that this game measures out its rewards in perfect doses. Every time you start to get bored, you'll reach a new zone or get a new item that makes you want to keep playing. I love a game that can keep me endlessly entertained.

All in all I'd recommend this game, despite all its MANY flaws. If you can't deal with the lag, the grind, and the bugs, then you aren't going to last more than a few hours. Get past that, join a good club, set a personal goal for yourself, build a sweet world, and you'll easily drop a few hundred hours before you realise it.

How to get EVERYTHING for free:

Classes: Craft them. That's right, you can craft classes. Most reviews that ♥♥♥♥♥ about this game being pay to play lean heavily on their claim that the classes have to be purchased in real money, when a few days of grind will get you the materials to craft any and all of the classes.

Credits: There are some things that can only be obtained by purchasing them from the in game store with a currency known called credits. Credits are usually obtained by spending real money, but here's two ways to get credits for free: level up or buy them in the market. Leveling up you mastery rank occasionally gives you some cradits, and when you add them all up there's enough there to buy a whole bunch of stuff from the shop. Run out of those? That's fine, with enough time and effort you can buy credits from the community market. Don't want to spend the time on that? Well guess what, there isn't a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing that they sell for only credits that is actually essential to gameplay. Suck it up and farm ♥♥♥♥ the old fashioned way.

Patron passes: Not only do these drop from daily login rewards, but during every seasonal event (of which there are many) they give a patron pass to everyone who logs in on certain days. For instance, the St. Patricks day event goes on for two weeks, and 7 of those days they give you a free patron pass.

This is one of the bext indie games I've ever played. I absolutely love the jackass main character, and the story is both funny and interesting. I actually care enough to do every side quest, and I listen to the voice acting rather than just skipping after I read from the text box. while the graphics aren't amazing you can tell that the designers put a pretty good amount of time into making their game look and feel unique. If you want to buy the game I recommend having a gamepad for combat and sqitching between items, but to keep a keyboard close for navigating menus.

Great story, no gameplay, and no further episodes. I hate to do this, but I recommend that interested players should not even bother to get involved.

Do you want to play casually? Great, step right up and play a silly adventure puzzle platformer that will probably make you question whether or not you're playing the good guys the entire time.

However, if you want to 100% the game, you're kinda screwed. Every time you play it you get to choose three characters to come with you. These choices change what three stages you have to make it through to get to the end. The first time you run through each character's stage it's a fun puzzle to figure out and escape. The second time you are mostly just annoyed that you have to go through the steps again. The third time you hate every second of it. To get every achievement you have to run through twice with every character and a minimum of three times with the hillbilly. This quickly becomes even more torturous when you then have to make it through the entire game without dying once with any of your characters. This is nearly impossible, and usually ends in you making it all the way to the end of the game and accientally falling off something and having to start over after three hours of grueling gameplay came up for naught. I have played every character at least seven times, trying desperately to make it through without a death. I gave up after a particularly annoying death in which I was at the actual end of the game, after each of the stages, and I managed to fall off the ladder and die.

Uninstalled, never looked back.

This game is a stupid brand of fun. Play it with friends, it's best that way.

Imagine a pile of BS stacked on another pile of BS, with a sniper rifle on top. That's this game. I love it.
