Early Access Review
I first bought and played this game when it originally released, I put 30 hours into the game immediately looking for my new extraction shooter fix. It was new and cool and I saw the potential. I felt calling it an extraction shooter and a Tarkov Killer or Tarkov Style was a disservice. It was its own game, with maybe a feel of Arma Wasteland. I know i got that vibe. I felt myself losing interest very fast, tasks were annoying and boring, AI was incredibly frustrating to fight, PvP felt clunky, and nearly impossible to not get infil camped.

I remember first going to YBL-1 and immediately getting shot through the walls and not being able to loot my body because the AI would still be in the walls camping my ahh. Decided to uninstall the game and honestly i COMPLETELY forgot about this game, packed my bags and moved on. A week before .4 release, some reviews came across my social medias. I was incredibly interested again, I decided to upgrade to the Supporter Edition just so I could play the new update 3 days earlier. I couldn't wait anymore. I went from 30 hours into this game in the first nearly 2 years. Since .4 has released I am now up to 165 hours and it still has me hooked. I think there is a lot needed still. So many people have expressed their opinions so I won't repeat them here as they are common. Don't think of this like Tarkov, if you want try it because you think it will be similar, you will be disappointed. This is not that. I think the best way to describe it, is Arma Wasteland with an added Tasks system. They do not having roaming convoys or impromptu missions all players and factions can go do but I have a feeling that will be a future feature.

The game definitely needs a little more ways to bring players together into PvP. As of right now most fights revolve around Midnight Sapphire, Tigers Bay and Fort Narith. Typically players want to go to those to get loot, take the close COPs and players see that and you kinda just get caught up fighting around these COPs. It's cool for a little bit, but gets old and there's so many interesting areas on the map that I wish PvP would occur. Overall it's a great game, I'm incredibly happy and impressed with how far they came, I'm excited for the future. If you're big on wanting PvP, I'd wait til .5 update as I've heard that is supposed to be their big PvP update. Wait for that and see how it is.

There's still so much of this game I have not discovered. It's a fun game to relax and play with a couple friends, still a bit buggy tho.

I've always enjoyed shooters and "realistic" shooters so my opinion could be just a little biased. I thought the first insurgency was fun and fast-paced and Insurgency: Sandstorm delivered that same type of game-play that I loved from the original. There is still that same type of customization with your load-outs and weapons, but now we have more customization to our character unlike the original which is great. Once mods start being released for this game it will go from an 8/10 to a 20/10.

It sucks that this game took almost 5 years to come into "BETA" Status and I've been following DayZ since the mod on Arma 2/OA. I've had my fair share of Exile and other DayZ esk mods on Arma 3 and I'm proud to say that DayZ SA is finally turning into what it could've of been years ago. With the introducing of mods I can't quite see how this game can turn and go downhill again. It's only a matter of time til we hit that mark that made us love the Arma 2 mod so much and I can officially say, I am enjoying this game once again and it's so much more fun with friends!

Challenging to get into and learn the qorks of the core game and maps and then into cameras, angles and different peeking areas. Very fun and high skill game! Every game is different and will make you want more.
