The warning in the beginning that you may commit suicide is only valid because of the tedious nature of this clunky game. I expected a lot from the hype surrounding the move to standalone from mod status but it really did fail to meet any of my expectations.

PROS.
It's free. I can appreciate the time and effort involved turning a mod into a standalone. The physics are good (Half-Life engine), the texturing is decent and there are a variety of well thought out monsters and a few creepy moments. If you aren't used to the likes of Resident Evil or Left 4 Dead you might like it. If you've played Amneisa, I wouldn't expect this to scare you at all.

CONS.
It's just not a very good game, it has no atmosphere or tension despite promising loads of both. Terrible inventory system, poorly designed models, awful collision (don't get me started on the hitboxes) and a genuinely poor difficulty arc. The weapons run out of ammo so quickly too you just end up with an inventory full of gun shaped melee weapons.

Also... What the hell are those upside-down flying bed men? Thinking outside the box is cool and all but what... I mean... what?
