The game is on the short side, but so what? Would you rather be bored for 20 hours or have your mind blown for 3? And that's just the first playthrough; there are multiple modes and branching story paths available on replay.

Get this game!

The gameplay is satisfying and rewarding, and the writing is top-notch.

Despite the cursor-based interface, using a controller works quite well.

The game is a ton of fun! Since the PSN linking requirement is reversed, I'd encourage anyone to pick it up who has some tolerance for iffy equipment balancing. Buffs and nerfs to weapons often seem heavy-handed and not thought through all the way, but overall things seem to be trending in a positive direction.

Better than Borderlands 1, better than The Pre-Sequel, this is the Borderlands to get. Buy the GOTY edition and play it all!
