Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is clearly worthy of the praise it got.

We play as Gustave, a bright and courageous citizen of Lumiere who, along with other expeditioners, set sail towards The Continent to save the world of the Gommage, a mysterious force which erases everyone over a certain age...that threshhold dwindling each year.

E33 did a great job in making the struggle, the hardship and the loss of the characters within the game tangible. Numerous times the player, the expedition, is faced with setbacks. The story isn't that cryptic to understand but very well executed. It makes the player question their stance and in the very end even demands a decision (leading to one of the two endings).

One big pleasant surprise for me was how...artsy it is. It really feels like an art project in certain ways. The developers use the cinematography of cutscenes, use of aspect ratios and filters to convey cetain information. In their latest free content update they also added a camera mode which is solely made to appreciate, celebrate and capture the beauty of E33, its world and its cutscenes. The world is literally fantastical and unreal, from bright colors and beautiful landscapes to the weirdest creatures roaming The Continent. And the music has also a special place in my heart.

Another thing that i immediately noticed was how expressive the facial animations were. with a talented motion capture team the developers gave the characters the animated visages needed to convey the tone in each and every scene.

My critque is only that the game lacks difficulty. with the exception of a few optional super bosses in the end game, the game made it way too easy to be overpowered for the final boss of the story, even on the highest difficulty setting. Some of the free roam passages, especially the ones that involve jumping/platforming, also feel quite clunky at times. some areas look open and explorable just to then be cut off by an invisible wall.

The game is quite taxing on the GPU so people with older hardware might want to look into optimization mods (i did that and it greatly enhanced my experience).

I bought it for the full price and it was worth every penny. I would recommend giving it a go, especially when its on sale.

Tomorrow Comes.

Mouthwashing is a psychological horror game, in which you uncover little by little the fateful tale of what had happened to the crew of the Tulpar. The crew is comprised of 5 people, each memorable in their own way. The story is told non-linearly and through the perspective of multiple (two) characters. As time goes on the atmosphere gets increasingly depressing and hopeless.

I really dig the retro-vibe to the graphics and the music as well. If you want to listen to one piece of the OST to convey the feeling this games gives you, listen to "The Windows Are Plastic".

Only thing that I like to point out is the price/hours ratio, as I was to finish this game in around 3h (without pacing through it). if thats a concern to you, I would still recommend getting it on a sale however!

IT HURTS.

Steamworld Quest is a game, which is a hybrid between deck building and turn-based (J)RPG.

In Steamworld Quest you control a small group of heroes and follow them on their journey, along the way are all sorts of foes that you need to fight and secrets to find. Boss enemies every couple of chapters bring more dynamic into the gameplay and make the overall experience really enjoyable. Every hero has 8 cards and you will have many to choose from, found in secret chests, craftable and rewarded throughout the story line. There are also different weapons and other gear to collect, which will furthermore help your team in fights. In turn-based matches you fight against your opponent, both drawing cards and playing them to fight against each other.

In Steamworld Quest you and your small group of heroes are on a ever changing journey. Starting out in a small village, Copernica and Armilly go into the nearby forests to find a certain kind of mushroom, as Copernica, which is an alchemist, needs it.
This task proves itself to be more difficult as it sounded. After this task the two go back to their town, where their heroic destiny slowly unfolds and takes both them and you on a epic journey through the big diverse world of Steamworld Quest. On that journey you will find many other characters, some of them allies that even want to join your team. Every character has their own charm, they seem genuine, real and just adorable, each in their own way. The relations between the characters also feels very genuine and realistic.

The artstyle is different from other Steamworld games, drawn and more organic it is a nice change from the original rather simplistic a cubist artstyle other Steamworld games have. The different areas all look very unique and very beautiful, just as all the little details just as little icons and such. The character's personality fits very well with their pretty appearance and even the body language represents who they are and just makes them feel so genuine and organic. The artwork on the cards and the cards themselves also look very charming!

The soundtrack has well over 30 songs and I personally find them all very lovely. You can really hear that they put their soul into their work (and some of those fighting tracks are fire damn).

The secrets add quite a lot of fun and reward you for looking around places. Hidden passages that lead to chests can give you new gear, weapons or even new cards! For me personally they were a bit too easy to find but I was also trying hard to find them all from the start of the game, so that may vary.

I really enjoyed this game! So much in fact that the only thing I am unhappy with is that it is not certain if there will be a Steamworld Quest 2 yet :D (I am serious Image & Form please continue this series I fell in love with this game)

Warframe is one of the best free to play games i've ever come across.
Not only is it free to play, but manages to keep it at that, making ingame transactions not necessary.
The gameplay is marvelous with its huge amount of weapons and warframes, and the grinding aspect of the game will keep You motivated if you want to get a certain warframe or weapon.
Not only that, the ingame currency you can buy called platinum can be obtained by selling other players so called prime weapons and warframes. So even if you don't want to invest money into it, you could get enough platinum after some trading to eventually buy what you desire.
With giant open worlds like Plains of Eidolon and Orb Vallis Digital Extremes expands the things Warframe has to offer and takes a HUGE step in the right direction.
They listen to their community and actively work with them.

Gameplay: 10/10
Music: 10/10
Graphics: 9/10
Story: 7/10
Voiceacting: 7/10
Worlddesign: 9/10
Price(in €)/Time(in h): its free to play wtf

The gameplay is somewhat okay, but 98% of the people who bought the game, bought it because they want to decorate their showcase.

So, look in achivementsection and decide whether you want to decorate your showcase with them or not, because the game itsself isnt really worth it.
