This game is, engaging. I write this review while the only released game mode is the 'Squads' BR mode, and it refines the BR aspects that are not enjoyable to myself. That is looting; this game relies on a linear upgrade path, incrementally increasing your guns and abilities from default (green) to legendary (gold). Because you begin with a predetermined loadout, the only variability comes from actual squad play, teamwork! This game places a heavy emphasis on squad play that I love, and can definitely see a competitive scene emerging and hosting their 300 player battles. I do think the classes need more horizontal progression, providing more ability choices that make your pre-game teamcomp more influential on game outcome, which I'm sure could be added in content updates along the road. Overall, the gameplay is flawless with sparse bugs, but the game does suffer from a lackluster User Interface Experience (UI/UX) and marketing.
