This game has perfected the concept of cosmic horror.
If you take everything at surface level, the game is good and simple. "Fulfill your promise." And depending on which ending you get, you either do.... or you don't. However...
If you dig deeper, you will find this game has more threads to follow, more questions hanging in the air. And the more you know, the less certain you can be about anything's truth.
The more you dig, the more you become buried by your very own pursuit for answers.

It took years to get the Steam achievements. In that time, I went through a breakup, getting another relationship, losing that one, years of isolation, helping a handful of people I treasured, completing many DnD campaigns of my own creation, and even became a dedicated disciple of Abyssal Enlightenment and an Acolyte of Time.
This game quickly went from "I'll be done in a year, tops" to "Maybe I'll somehow finish it someday."
It was an undertaking and a half. I do not regret my time with it on the side, augmenting my whatever. But now that I am free, I will never touch another clicker/idler game again. Thank you for the time. Genuinely. But I will never be back.

She is not justified for her atrocious actions. Every excuse is just that; an excuse. And it's sadistic, too. Why else would she make such a callous joke about a situation happening right before the festival?
She knows what she is doing, is not sorry, and REVELS in hurting the player. Maybe not directly, but clearly has zero issue doing so indirectly.

If Wallpaper Engine is so good, why is there no Wallpaper Engine 2? :^)
