Game is fun while you're learning it but then you realize what it is: a wonder of a multiplayer single-player turn-based first-person shooter. Atrocious hit reg delay from slow server-side verification means you're playing a different game session from the guy you're shooting, and vice versa.

The cherry on top is are the console players with KB&M input emulators literally playing a different game with guns that have different stats.

The game has around ~40 hours of gameplay before things become stale, which is good enough for a $20 game.

I think what kills it in the higher difficulty modes is the reduction in gameplay options as Prestige difficulty increases
- Fewer cornerstone options
- Fewer blueprint options
- Fewer BP rerolls
- Merchant costs become prohibitive

The game added more and more mechanics as you leveled up but then it stuffs you back into a cramped RNG box.

You can beat all the single player content in like 15 hours. Buy this game on sale, not at $35.

The RTS elements are palpably outdated. No attack queue - micro your DPS on priority targets as they go down, no distributed build queue - you have to go through each builder one-by-one, so the game is balanced with that in mind. If you micro the attack priority and mass production, the game is incredibly easy since AI just feeds small blobs of ships into your doom stack and your carrier group pumps out a hundred strike craft per minute.

Frankly, this game is too easy with the auto-resource gathering and snowballing resource stockpile. Your units are stronger than the enemy units because of upgrades and the AI is bad at prioritizing targets so you can win in a 2:1 disadvantage. You can also pull the enemy formation apart and defeat them in detail. With end-of-mission resources giving you a max pop fleet early in the game, you essentially can't lose as long as you don't plow your fleet into the enemy with a right click and lose all your frigates before the capital ships get in range.

The people complaining about the AI unit count scaling with your fleet size have some serious skill issues. This is an old-school RTS on easy mode, not a modern mobile auto-battle gacha game.

It's... alright. Get it on a $15 sale.

48 hours of play time, probably several hours of that was repeatedly watching the same event cut scenes over and over again. This is too long of a game to have the same level up/upgrade/buff scenes. It gets OLD. The book format also gets old, just play the cut scenes in one go instead of making us click 500 times for each scene and then click into the next scene.

The biggest weakness of the game is the poor AI that just runs into interception fire and dies. A lot of the levels are trivial if you order/scout/command/APC cheese them which is what the game encourages with the scoring system.

Playing them properly just takes longer but it's not difficult since half of the enemy AI units just run into a tank's blow torch and die.

It's shocking how many people don't understand the point of a trace test. This is measuring IO-based real world performance. If you just want to see big read/write numbers, there are free alternatives but they aren't trace tests and they're also useless for telling you actual storage performance. If you're upset about low numbers, it's because your NAND flash SSD has garbage QD1 numbers, sorry.

If you want to select a disk to test, click the test and select the disk to run it on.
The test works on RAID0 array without problems.

G/10

They swapped out the mob grinding KRPG for G key grinding KRPG. The first 17.5 hours is just pressing the G key for quests while blasting through easy mobs and dungeons, while the game drip feeds end-game upgrade mechanics that are utterly irrelevant to you for another 10-20 hours.

There's 0 "MMO" in the first 17.5 hours. Nothing in the early or mid-game compels players to group up or interact with anything other than quest NPCs. Pre end-game is mind-numbingly easy and a victim of its own scope and lack of focus. The story is sabotaged by collectible prompts, ridiculous theme breaking skins, guitars going off, and breaks in narrative for you to press G. You can package all of the quests into a long offline cutscene and lose nothing. My recommend gaming setup for Lost Ark is windowed mode and a long YouTube playlist.
