Starts off slow, picks up fast, ends slowly. It also goes very hard on your wrist depending on how you roll the dice, however, its satisfying. Progress is definitively more linear than exponential but thats fine. Short, fun incremental

Short but fun

Alright lets get this out of the way, this Game is awesome. For 20 bucks this is an absolute steal for what you get.
I have finished the game to best of my ability. Im at 85% completion and only missing some Mask shards and 2 spool fragments.

Lets start with the good stuff.
This game is so much fun. Its a worthy successor to Hollow Knight and i might personally even prefer this one in terms of gameplay and even the story.
The Combat feels relatively nice and the different crests and tools make it really fun to experiment.
The Areas are beautiful and nice to explore. I usually try to explore everything i can before moving on and this was mostly done relatively easily. Mostly.

Now, i could go deeper into the good stuff but other reviews have already done so. I want to go more into the cons.
Dont get me wrong, this game is awesome and all of these cons do NOT ruin the experience, but i want to state them as to me, they are rather frustrating.

Spoiler Warning

Ive seen several people complain about the runbacks. And yes i must agree. Some runbacks to bosses are outrageous. The Bilewater one is terribly bad since while there IS a bench, closer to the boss/fight that you need to go to, it is hidden in a secret path. Before i had this bench i spent 2 hours getting there and dying and getting there and dying again. It was not fun at all. And that was the worst experience ive had with this Game.

Ive also seen people complain about the 2 Mask damage. I will say personally i didnt have that much of a problem with this. Yes they spam it way too much and way too many enemies and bosses have it, but it wasnt that terrible.

Another big grievance (Spoilers again for a quest)
There is a quest for the item you need for nail upgrades. The quest is 1 of 3 ways to get this item. This quest requires you to get 5 items in different ways, ranging from talking to an npc to do some heavy platforming. The absolute worst one of these is the third item, which needs you to courier an item from the middle of the map, to one of the toughest areas, which is very far away aswell. As far as i know there is only ONE specific route that leads there. You cannot get hit, fasttravel, bump into walls or, for this one specifically, TAKE TOO LONG. Yes, it has a time limit. A incredibly strict time limit. You need to basically have every secret path uncovered on the way there (which leads through one of the most annoying areas in the game by the way) and even then you cannot get hit once, through the entire 5 minute speedrun to get there. This may not sound bad but remember it leads through the Blasted Steps. Where falling deals 2 damage, theres annoying wind, and enemies that throw stuff and dash. The timer is barely enough even when doing everything perfectly and theres no way to get more time.

Overall, this Game is like i said, amazing. It has some pretty big flaws but for this price, they do not matter. If you want a more difficult Hollow Knight, this is for you.

Very peak short game. It drags itself a little bit during the middle of it but it becomes engaging near the end again. And since its a relatively short game the drag isnt that noticable. For 5 Bucks this is a nice deal

Me and a friend have been waiting for this DLC for months. Now im in the proccess of trying to get a refund.

This DLC is just a bunch of existing mods, cut down and thrown together in a nonsensical way. The original feeling or rain world is not there at all. At first i thought, oh cool, the rot has spread all the way here? What the hell happened?? Oh wow even the lizards got infected? I wanna know more!

Then we got sucked into a modded region cut to the third of its size, filled with dead ends and enemies that barely feel fair. No iterators, artifically blocked of regions that never get explained WHY theyve been blocked of, no karma gates just lazy wormholes and something that can barely be called a story.

This is basically a modpack sold for 15 bucks with the only original content being the slugcat itself and the intro. Cannot recommend at all and it was the biggest disappointment ive had in a game in a long while.

Fun short Game.
Doesnt take too much grind and is fun to play when you are bored.
Takes ~3 hours to complete.

Terraria is an awesome game. Endless things to do even without mods. If you want it to be it can be pretty challenging too! Absolutely recommend to buy it. Its a steal for this price and deserves all the praise it gets. Probably my favourite game ever
