This is a great version of Doom, and the new included campaign Legacy of Rust is fast becoming a favorite for me. My favorite feature is the inclusion of multiple audio options. I would always mod doom to use the Roland SC-55 version of the soundtrack, which is now included as the "MIDI Synth" sound option. And the remix soundtrack via Andrew Hulshult is characteristically excellent. While there are definitely still reasons for a long time player to use alternatives like Chocolate Doom and GZ Doom, this is the best it's ever been out of the box. If this is your first experience with this game you'll have a good time, and if you're returning, this is now a version that you may find yourself playing out of preference rather than convenience.

I have a lot of good things to say about this game, mostly its incredible movement and fantastic art design. But the part that stands out to me the most after finishing it is the atmosphere. Despite having a relatively small world in terms of overall space, every step forward feels rewarding. And I loved the feeling of discovery while slowly becoming familiar with the layout of the castle and what you can do with the tools you currently have. This game was a fantastic experience and I really look forward to seeing what this developer does in the future.

An excellent concept with excellent execution, this is a great fighting game for beginners who still want to learn advanced techniques. The NGPC inspired pixel art looks and animates great. Even at this beta state it promises to be a fantastic fighting game for casual fans and harcore players alike.
