Ok, I probably know what you're thinking: "Why would I want to be a princess, this looks like a girly game, I am not into weird japanese stuff, leave me alone."
Well, while at first glance you might be put off, let me tell you that this is one of the only games that allow you to jump into the role of an upcoming monarch, complete with things such as learning how to behave yourself at a royal ball, politely refuse an invitation to a party, sentence a criminal, fight a duel to the death, wield arcane might, make a rousing speech in the face of an invading army, put down a revolution and execute the traitors plotting your downfall.
I have completed the game (successfully) twice and there are still many more paths to be discovered. There is a good chance that you will die a horrible, pink death in the first few tries, but this will only drive you to come back with a vengeance.

Pros:
-Good soundtrack that reflects the mood of the story
-Engaging storyline that is uncovered as you progress, and with each playthrough
-Very developed setting you can learn about as you increase your princessly skillz
-Pink and fluffy artstyle
-Nicely paced so you are never bored

Cons:
-Fairly short
-Lack of customization for your princess (though there are outfits, which is nice)
-Frustration when you die of chocolate

Overall, Long Live The Queen is a great game for a casual player who likes royal court intrigue, hard choices and has an evening to spare.
