- Worse Graphics & Style compared to the Original. Overly bright to the point that all darker areas seem washed out. Raidou and some demons get an HD model, but not all of them, and 90% of the NPCs also don't. Uniquely designed Legion is gone and replaced with the usual SMT Legion, but for some reason, the unique Belphegor design is kept in?
- Completely redone combat w/ new boss mechanics, very fun. New Camera can get annoying in certain fights
- Weird midgame rewrite where they just spoil you the final twist. Several characters also spell it out for you several times as if you're an idiot. Gotou at one point tells it to you 3 times in a row for no reason.
- GOOD endgame rewrite where they go a long way making the villain themselves more interesting.
- VA work is good, Gotou is too backseat-y though, keeps yelling at you to Use your Gun or that your special attacks are ready.
- Random removal of SMT 1/2 connections. However, they added in references to Raidou 2 and the Raidou manga, as well as SMT V. Don't really know how I feel about that.
-Raidou mispronounces Triglav and calls it out with an anglicized pronunciation rather than the proper Slavic pronunciation. This is because Raidou is slavophobic, so it's okay, as it is in character.

I liked it overall, was fun.

12 hours in and so far? Game of the year. Absolutely amazing experience. Going from Capital to Capital on foot in Ch.2 of the main quest was the most stressful and fun experience I've had in a while.
But still gotta hit it with the downvote cause Capcom got way too comfortable with their micro transactions.
Also it has Denuvo. In 2024. Years after it was proven it f*cks with performance.

releasing this a month after Lies of P delivered a far better soulslike experience should be a crime tbh.
Horrible UI and tutorial, goofy alt world mechanic with way too much stuff tacked on, animations that make your character slide 10 steps forward, boring uninspired enemy designs, painfully generic setting that makes me unable to care for any of the NPCs that utter "Forgive me Zanzibart", parrying just sorta happens and makes you feel no impact or coolness of having parried a boss or enemy what so ever etc. etc. ...... They learned nothing from their past game.
See you all in the sequel which I'm sure will also be called Lords of the Fallen.

Dark Souls 2's type of game progression and build variety but with 3's combat. Even though I prefer 2's slow and more RPGish combat, I really enjoyed this.

the game itself is very fun, but the matchmaking is complete poop. Due to constant matchmaking issues, full rooms will not start, or will try to start before the last person that joined loaded in properly, which then results in them being kicked out and the search continuing. Sometimes a room will kick you out for no reason anyway just to mess with you.
I don't wanna spend an hour doing nothing and praying to RNGJesus to get into a room just to have 10 minutes of fun, even if it's good fun.

Dad throws son off mountain who then climbs up and throws dad off mountain who then beats the ♥♥♥♥ out of him and throws him into a volcano and then there's a time skip so Dad goes and finds his grandson and throws him out of a mid-air helicopter but then the son comes back and throws the Dad into an explosion and now we introduce the grandfather who appears and then melts into dust in the same game and then the grandson comes back and starts world war 3 and then Son throws Dad into the volcano the end.

Online is fun. Barely anything for Offline players. New characters get no real story so you have 0 connection to them. Claudio's cool because he has that one kick thats really fast. He's apparently Italian but he never goes bing bing wahoo i'm not so sure whats up with that

Very fun.
It's a very forgiving beat 'em up where you blast through 3 stages (and 1 chase sequence) with some really fun boss fights in between and some minimalistic albeit very fun story telling.
