I genuinely don’t understand the negative reviews for Crimson Desert.

No, it doesn’t have a masterpiece story like Red Dead Redemption 2, and no, the side quests aren’t on the level of The Witcher 3. But that’s not what this game is trying to be.

What Crimson Desert does better than most games is something much harder to describe: it captures the feeling of simply being a warrior in a living world.

The world is absolutely stunning and full of life. It constantly pulls me in to explore just one more area, just one more corner. And behind almost every turn, there’s something waiting. Not always something huge, sometimes just a small moment, but enough to keep me engaged.

That’s rare for me. Most games lose me within minutes. Here, I completely lose track of time.

Yes, Kliff barely speaks, which can feel a bit odd. And the only real downside for me is the vegetation movement. The constant wind effect can make the image feel a bit too busy at times.

But overall, this game creates immersion in a way very few games manage to do anymore.

If you’re looking for a perfectly written narrative, this might not be it. But if you want to get lost in a beautiful, dynamic world and just exist in it as a warrior, Crimson Desert absolutely delivers.

I usually hate extraction shooters. When I first heard about Arc Raiders I was beyond excited, a PvE shooter from former Battlefield devs sounded like a dream. Then came the news that it had shifted to a PvPvE extraction game. I lost all interest. I skipped every playtest and the server slam because everything about that change annoyed me.

But after release, seeing the passion and dedication the devs poured into this project made me give it a shot, and now I finally get it. The atmosphere, sound design and gameplay feel incredibly polished and the tension hits perfectly.

I still get nervous before every raid, my adrenaline spikes easily, yet in five out of five runs I’ve met nothing but friendly players helping each other. What an experience.

I’ve loved the Katamari series since the very beginning. Its quirky humor, silly charm, and legendary soundtrack have always been pure joy to me. These games still help me relax to this day.

Once Upon a Katamari is no exception. It’s visually beautiful, full of creative new overworlds, and the scenarios feel fresh and varied. I do recommend it overall.

But this entry adds a new layer of stress on top of the usual time limits. You constantly feel like you’re failing a level if you don’t manage to find the gift, the cousin, and the sometimes ridiculously hidden three crowns all within just two or three minutes. It can turn fun chaos into mild frustration.

The new tools like the rocket and sonar don’t really enhance the experience either. Only the magnet, especially when combined with sprinting, truly hits that classic Katamari bliss feeling.

Still, for fans of the series like me, it’s worth rolling into. Just be ready for a bit more pressure this time around.

The game is very faithful to the original and delivers the same atmosphere and charm that made the classic so great. It feels amazing to experience the story and gameplay in a modern presentation with updated visuals and sound design. The nostalgia is strong and the core mechanics still hold up incredibly well, making it a joy to play from a design perspective.

The downside is the performance, which is shockingly bad for a remake of this scale. On an RTX 3070 paired with a Ryzen 5600X in 1440p, stable 60 FPS can only be achieved with a mix of low and medium settings while forcing DLSS to performance mode. Even then there are noticeable drops and stutters that break immersion. For a game running on Unreal Engine 5, the optimization is far below expectations and feels rushed. The experience is bittersweet because while the game itself deserves praise, the technical state makes it hard to fully enjoy. Unless you are a hardcore fan, it’s better to wait and see if proper patches and optimizations are released.

Spiel ist artistisch bestimmt eine Wucht. Movement macht auch Spaß. Die Performance ist jedoch ein Witz. Ein Indie-Game das mehr demand hat als Elden Ring. Nein danke.

One of the best games of this decade, but honestly im just here to fight against the review bombing since Playstation gave up on account linking for now. These devs deserve better than this crossfire!

Dragon's Dogma 2 impresses with its blend of linear levels and a constant sense of exploration, featuring quirky interactions like grappling monsters and toppling bridges mid-battle. Every corner holds secrets waiting to be discovered. However, the post-release introduction of microtransactions and lingering performance issues mar an otherwise exceptional experience in this triple-A single-player title priced at 70 euros.

Early Access Review
I cant recommend buying this game so far. The potential is there, but Inflexion has a lot work to do. Especially considering they want to release the final product in a year, which isnt very likely tbh. Graphical bugs, enemey and companion a.i are pretty janky, the long grind for even the simplest structures and im not even talking about the always on problem. I hope they can turn this around in the next months, because the framework is definitely there.

My first impression is very positive. The colonization setting is quite fresh and unexplored. The double A charm is felt with every step and, for me, it's a clear recommendation for purchase. No microtransaction nonsense and cash grab mechanics. Just a good game with a profound storyline and excellent storytelling. The characters are relatable and appear authentic. Performance is top-notch from day one. I'm curious to see where the journey leads, and I want more.
