"Games as a service" is a cancer and I hate every part of it. A game designed around coming back time and time again to finish it off is bad because it wasn't designed around being fun to play or satisfying the player in any way. "Engagement" is a meaningless metric when it comes at the expense of player satisfaction, players should come back to a game because they genuinely want to experience it again, not because some arbitrary design, timelock, or other monetization-focused design.

Also Warship Gunner 2 is like one of the best games ever because it avoids all this
