Fantastic game with deep roleplay elements. Well worth checking out.

To be blunt, it's tiresome. Dragon Age Inquisition was an awesome game. This is not it. Yes, the graphics appear souped up, but the freedom, the choice, all feel lacking so far. Sure I'm barely in, but it feels really linear, scripted, kinda boring. Makes you feel a little like you're just there to click the buttons when prompted, building nothing, just witnessing a scripted story where your choices don't really mean anything. I got it on a big sale, but it isn't really giving me any incentive to continue. As for the amazing review scores on the video start.. it makes me doubt their credibility, every single source.

They tried to sell me an ultimate edition upgrade in game.. but the link took me to steam where it was more than double the price. More Steam issues? /facepalm

GOOGLE crashing before buying! This is currently a £25 pile of garbage. I have attempted to request a refund after 4 hours of crashing and trying to get it working. I get brief spells where it runs, then crashes my system. In short, absolutely don't bother. Obviously, Steams policy caps at 2 hours, so I'm looking at £25 of mis-sold services that Steam refuses to rebate. However, if like me you have free legal cover on any of your insurance, you can write to or email steam (google it) just on principle and take legal proceedings. Their policies prevent arbitration however leaves them open to vastly inflated court costs. Of course they refuse to settle anything in arbitration, so doing so if you have a solid case will wind up costing them significantly more. Keep your crash logs, google crash results and more.

Initially I thought it was just me and tried changing all manner of settings, then discovered widespread reports of this game having these issues. It's making me wonder if the + reviews were from pre-crash or rigged.

Absolutely not fit in its current state. Half baked tutorials. Points where it seems just plain broken, crashes and the most tedious building system ever designed.

Good news. This is not abandoned. It's a great game already and there is already a wipe and huge release due today. In terms of flexibility in the building system, I've not seem better to date. You can make beautiful things if you're creative and the settings are awesome.

Absolutely worth the tag for the hours you can get from it. Even those having their usual moans tend to have racked up significant hours. Take a look a judge for yourself.

This game had a 40% positive review score when it launched. It has already flown past 70% only 1 month later. That should tell you everything. A number of people badly rated the game on day 1 when they had performance issues. The game is stunning and absolutely worth the tag. As someone who has played for a while now as part of a community, I can absolutely recommend buying this game.

YES - It is EA and more features are coming, on a roadmap produced by the devs on their discord. However, the game is stunningly beautiful. The road maps look great. It's a pleasure to play. It doesn't have traditional quests and dungeons, yet it's better. Some aspects of the game require a grind with steady progression. Others require exploration and cooperation at your own pace.

You can very easily fit into a community as a craftsman. You'll be doubly welcomed if you join as a gatherer, and likely equipped in a hurry to make your life easier. The crafting unlocks as you pick up items and become inspired to use them as well as through progression of skill. It is far more in depth than you might expect and the buildings are absolutely beautiful too.

Absolutely no regrets in getting this and it's in another league.

As far as combat is concerned, it is entirely PVE unless you CHOOSE to engage in pvp. To do so, simply find out the location of your regions PvP gateway. Go through and you're in the pvp region. There are rich rewards but in there you can loose all you carry. Some of the dungeons are very tough too. The traditional "quest" system doesn't exist, but by no means does that mean you lose out on content. This looks like the way forward for MMOs.

The freedom to play your own way and add value, while creating places of beauty is unrivalled. Check it out now :)

With it being EA and expecting wipes, you WILL find the world pretty empty at times ie a couple of months after a wipe, while people await new content. Mostly, we see it for what it is and will sit back and wait. Looking at the hours played by most reviewers, you get a solid picture of value for money but it's not ideal when you miss-time and land in a ghost town. Of course, there are still going to be muppets who can't read and think they are playing a post release polished game despite the early access updates everywhere and the roadmaps and in game notifications. Take some of the negative ratings with a pinch of salt and learn to ignore the wallies.

To be honest the character creation nearly put me off. It's a little dated for graphics and limited. However, the game looks far better than the character creator. The way you have to discover for yourself is a nice design choice. What at first appears to be simple soon turns into a vast, expansive map. Once you figure out putting portals down and fast travelling between biomes, the most tedious aspect if quickly gone and the game gets progressively better. It's free world too so you can encounter more than you can safely take on. It's great :D
