Didn't let me blow Micah's brains clean out with a slug round in my guilded shotgun. What was the point of any of it, then?

I happily gave this game $100 instead of Nikita. They already delivered and exceeded Tarkov in many aspects. It just needs a LOT of polishing and optimization. Once that is done I'm sure it will feel better. Currently running a 2070 and can't push past 20 FPS on lowest settings.

This game is laughably bad and an insane downgrade to the first. Just let me play with my friends, all of these characters are caricatures. None of them feel real, and that is only emphasized by making this game 10x more RPG heavy. The only good change to this game was breaking weapons so you didn't have to drop them or spend time scrapping them if they broke. THe most fun I've had in this game was laughing at it. This ain't it, chief.

An instant classic from my childhood remade. Speaking as a man who has owned the original on every console it came out on, this remake does a bunch of cool things right, and a bit not so great.

First up, the negatives. Everything feels a lot slower now in terms of movement. You can charge up the Bubble Bowl so long that the sound effect just stops playing while you charge because the original clip isn't long enough, and the Cruise Bubble feels so much slower, both because it is and because they don't crank up the FOV when you use it, as was done in the original. Turning is a lot stiffer than in the original and one of the fun exploits was removed that made you faster. Turning isn't just stiff in mid-air, either, as the camera is also very stiff, and if you turn the camera while on a slide, your player turns with it. They also removed one of the most fun aspects of the game, which is the ability to freely control Sandy's swinging. In the original, you just had to press B or Circle or X (depending on console) and you had the ability to transfer the momentum of a jump into your swing, or just swing around in a circle to build up speed before yeeting yourself out of it. In Rehydrated, you have to hold the button instead, and the entire swing is a preset animation that you can only affect the release direction of, which is rather disappointing. On the more nit-picky side, Squidward doesn't shout "Hey!" after you give his portrait a moustache, Spongebob's foghorn alarm no longer triggers when you smack it, and Patrick's rock no longer has a Gramophone you can smack to play music. But that's really it for the negatives.

On the positive side, they allowed patrick to attack mid-air, and made it so that he gets a slight speed boost every attack. They also allowed spongebob to use the Bubble Bash after jumping once, and allowed Sandy to use her rope attack mid-air, granting her a jump if you do so. This leads to interesting movement in its own right. So needless to say, this game sets itself apart from the predecessor. On top of the changes to movement and gameplay, many changes were done in the interest of fixing some of the problems the original had. One such problem is the dialogue cutting out in boss fights, which now properly play at the defeat of a boss, as opposed to the original's cutting out at the cutscene trigger. On top of this, many more dialogue emotions were rendered so the characters can express a bit more during dialogue. In terms of visuals, the remake is bright and saturated, exactly what you'd expect in a children's game, which is wonderful for all the new kids coming to enjoy a beloved classic that will be remembered for even more years to come. Alot of new idle animations were made that reference Spongebob memes, so take that as you will.

The new multiplayer mode is wonderful, as back when I was a kid my brother and I would play this game together, and hand each other the controller whenever we swapped characters at a bus stop, so being able to play with him at the same time is pretty cool, and I hope many future siblings will come to appreciate this game in the same way that we did when we were little, even if it is just a glorified arena mode, it still would have been amazing to have back then, which is why I'm glad that it's a part of the game.

All in all, this remake sets itself apart from the original in terms of movement while making the combat more accessible. Pick it up for the nostalgia, or pick it up for future nostalgia. Either way, you're going to love this masterpiece.

This game has so much to do and they're always adding more, definitely worth a buy for it's price.

Hands down the best F2P Hero Shooter out there. From customization to champions, there is no reason anyone should buy Overwatch when this high(er) TTK, high skill-cap game is FREE!

Too much horrible ham-fisted cringey #feminist dialogue instead of anything funny. I couldn't even finish the game.

I hope Borderlands 3's writing isn't this bad, and by that I mean I hope they have actual jokes.

This game has literally become my life, from its many gamemodes to its many servers, it's no wonder why I have over 1,700 hours on this game alone!
