This is one of the least satisfying yet somehow still engrossing games I've ever played. It just keeps going, and teasing you with more. And if you give up and look up any answers to its clues to help progress, you're met with the feeling like the answer was simultaneously obvious and you never would have gotten it. I'd recommend to just never do that, and stop when you're that stuck. The only satisfaction here comes from within.

But the atmosphere is lovely, the mechanics are interesting, the story is subtle but present. It is a very well made game for being a unique roguelite puzzle walking sim.

Last year my time went into Escape From Mystwood Mansion, Botany Manor, and Balatro, and this game perfectly combines all 3. It could not have fit me better. But I'm still not sure it's one of my all time favorites, and it does not seem like it'd be for everyone.

Great vibes. Good puzzles. Not too difficult, but still rewarding. Bit short, but I appreciate the density and lack of filler. Feels like time well spent, which is a rarity these days.

This game made me more human.

10/10 would become human again.

This game would honestly sell me on a VR headset by itself.

It is even more fun than mini golf in the real world, since you don't have to worry about walls blocking your swing and you don't have to chase down balls that go flying off the course. The avatar customization has enough options to make it feel like you're actually with your friends, making it one of the most social things I've done in VR. And the hidden ball hunt makes waiting for people to take their shots still enjoyable.

All that, and the physics seem good, the holes are well designed, and the environments are wonderfully atmospheric.

I cannot recommend this game highly enough if you enjoy mini golf.

I mean it's no Braid, but it might be more fun.

Can I say it's better than the base game? No.
Is it as close to achieving that goal as any "DLC" has ever come? Probably.

There are a few new mechanics along with many returning from the base game. It managed to simultaneously feel fresh and unique but still 100% Supraland. I probably got around 20 hours out of collecting every last bit without looking anything up.

My only criticism might be that it felt a bit more linear and less explore-y.

I laughed, I scratched my head, I watered people's plants. Another fantastic experience.
Please give this guy & his band of cohorts more money.
I want more.

The demo was good, but I usually crave more challenging puzzles. Thankfully the puzzles did get better later in the game. I still never felt by brain boiling in the way Braid or even Portal have achieved. I'd say the puzzles are about a half step easier than Portal originally was. Still multiple steps better than anything I can remember from Zelda games. My biggest gripe with the puzzles is how much they rely on just seeing a certain element- most solutions were fairly obvious once you had all the components in from of you. But that is also a testament to how well the game trains you and how fair the leaps in thinking are. The difficulty arc is probably perfect for most people to keep them challenged yet not frustrated. Worked for me!

But the highlight of this game is its secrets and exploring to find them. Just... wow. I can't think of any game that crams more rewards for exploring. If you enjoy jumping at walls for hours on end hoping to find a well-shadowed crack and be rewarded with an awesome little song, then you need to buy this game right now. I think I spent an extra 12 hours above the average time it takes to complete the story in order to get to 100% (without looking anything up... I did waste a ton of time).

I was a little disappointed in the story since I had read reviews praising it and didn't see anything to get excited over myself. There absolutely is a clear and driving story, which is more than a lot of games can say, especially games that are this focused on puzzles. But this is not Bioshock. It is a lovely cohesive world though.

Overall I'll repeat the echo and say that if you enjoy Portal and Zelda games, then you absolutely need to play this. It really is a solid 9. (A perfect 5/7 experience)

This game was so good that when it was over I had to go replay the classic N64 platformers because I craved more... and then I immediately gave up on playing those games of ol' because they're nowhere near as enjoyable.

I have never played a 3d platformer where the controls felt this good. I always want full control of the camera, and this game not only gives you that option, but also moves the camera where you want it rather than getting stuck on the unseen walls behind you. Even just jumping in this game is fun, which is often a massively overlooked (or at least under-polished) feature for any platformer. A community member made a mod level that tries to be 2d, and if it weren't for occasionally getting stuck on the invisible walls in the z-direction (necessary since this is a 3d game) I would've said it felt like I was playing Super Meat Boy. Apart from a couple narrow landing surfaces or weird angles, it always felt like falling to my doom was my own fault. It just feels so good to move throughout these worlds.

I spent about 20 hours exploring every corner of the official game / getting every collectible, and then another 10+ playing around with the free community mod levels (and have barely made a dent in what's available as of June 2018). I crave more, and I think one more world would have made the official game feel more complete, but it's completely worth the cost as is. And there is word of more official DLC coming.

Each world was perfectly unique, interesting, and atmospheric. Levels are designed well to help you gradually improve your skills and not leave you guessing where you're supposed to go next. The voice acting isn't award-winning, but infinitely better than a bunch of random mumbles. The secrets and collectibles are rewarding and plentiful without being overwhelming. And it truly delivers on the cute as heck bulletpoint. There are just too many great things to say about this game.

10/10- Would let this ruin my perception of my childhood platformers again

This is one of the best open-ended puzzle games I have ever played. I might enjoy it even more than the Zachtronics games (SpaceChem, etc.)

Granted I already have a lot of experience with logic cirtcuits and can solve these puzzles by doing crazy overkill things like building state machines out of nothing but NAND gates... this experience might not be as enjoyable if you're just learning what a NAND gate is (or heck- maybe it's even more rewarding!). But I'm amazed by how much fun it is to use those skills in this game. It does a great job of removing (almost) all the annoying busywork involved in building something and leaves you with the core of engineering- designing something to solve a problem (including the fine-tuning of your design to handle real-world complexities). The various different goals for cost, speed, and component usage seem well defined and make it enticing to think through several different designs for the same puzzle.

This is catnip for engineers.

I am very excited for a day when I have kids old enough to understand how to play this. A generation of kids growing up playing games like this would be able to do some scary/amazing things when they're older. I didn't get to learn this stuff until my first year of college!

Played through it with my girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon. It took about 4 hours, but around two hours of that was bashing our heads against a wall on the very last boss, not seeing the one little thing we needed to interact with- I get the feeling this might not have been extensively playtested from a couch 15 feet away & in daylight.

I really like the core mechanic, and it's done very well (though maybe not flawlessly). But where this game really shines is in playing it alongside somebody you trust. I've had very few co-op experiences I've enjoyed as much and would not hesitate to mention this game in the same breath as Portal 2.

It's a short game that probably costs too much relative to its length, and which completely falls apart at the final boss... on multiple levels. But playing through everything up to that boss was a fantastic experience and made our day. I wish there were more co-op puzzle games like this in the world.
