A simple fishing trip really. After a few beers you lose track of time and find yourself out way past what you planned, and the sun is going to set before you make it back to port.

Not to worry, you know the waters around the island like the back of your hand. It's right around this corner....oh. Guess not. Oh well, must be close now.

It's been hours. These shores don't even look familiar anymore. The fish are following the boat now, have been for hours. I can see their blank eyes staring at me. Why are there so many? Aren't they afraid of the motor?

The sun should've come up by now. I don't understand. But I saw a boat's lamp around the next outcrop, They'll point me in the right direction.

This game is different than most other FPS games right now. If you are familiar with Tarkov, its more in that ballpark than it is to say CoD or Fortnite. This is a FPS with a fairly steep learning curve but a high skill ceiling. Slower paced than many other multiplayer shooters but with some very satisfying fights and gunplay, and the occasional headshot from 200m sending you back to the lobby.

If you are looking for a little different FPS game I would highly suggest Hunt.

A short, minimalist game with beautiful visuals. Your journey with others despite only limited interactions still manages to make a connection with your fellow wanderers.

I played this game back when it was first released. At the time, it was pretty good even if upgrading the higher levels took a lot of materials. You could build a lot of interesting designs and build a good mix of lower levels bots. At the time damage to bots would persist throughout the match.

The upgrade paths allowed you to target the type of robot you wanted and focus on that.

Changes forced a linear progression of the upgrade/unlock tree and made bots heal back to full after sitting stationary and without damage for several seconds making it so that only high impact weaponry does much because you have to fully destroy the enemy bot before they can escape and heal to full. Even more colors were locked behind a paywall.

In general the game is pretty grindy to upgrade and the changes that were implemented made the versatility and interest of the lower levels bots not worth the huge grind to reach the highest tiers.

If you liked the first You will likely enjoy this one. Similar in style to the first Vermintide but with a number of quality improvments.

Gameplay:
Enemy variety has been improved with the addition of chaos soldiers, additional Skaven units, a wider array of special units, and an additional set of monsterours units. The maps no longer are as strictly scripted with events. Each run may include running into Skaven or Chaos at certain points, a different combination of special units or monsters/storm vermin at any part of the maps. The variety is enjoyable.

Characters:
Each character now feels much more open ended with how you wish to play. Heroes that were very much melee focused in Vermintide 1 can now be put into different "careers" I guess which will change the way they play in a variety of significant ways. Additionally, special abilities make for more interesting combat patterns and the ability to have more difficult maps.

Loot:
The loot system in Vermintide 1 left a bit to be desired, in order to get better gear you had to grind for good rolls from the dice for a single item. In many cases you would end up with a worthless drop at the end of a mission, even more so when you started using higher level gear. This loot system rewards you with a good supply of items and since the stats are less impactful than the weapon type it doesnt feel like you aren't making progress each time. Odds are decent you'll get something that could be used.

Overall I would recommend it for a fast-paced, co-op hack and slash experience. Extra enjoyable with a good group.

I wouldn't recommend this title on its own unless you have a group to play it with. Allow me to explain a little further.

First off, this game is unfinished. I understand the devs apparently ran out of money and had too large a scope for this game. As a result the game literally just ends right where the story should be picking up the pace. Additionally, and maybe this is just me and my group, we found teh story to be thoroughly disjointed, confusing, and uninteresting overall. Also the humor attempts mostly fall flat througout the game.

The addition of the 3rd dimension doesn't add to the game. it creates navigation problems as endless pits lay just offscreen as you attempt to explore to locate all the "trineangles" in a level. It confuses the distinction between your characters and the world they can interact with with really expanding the gameplay in any meaningful way.

The game is also loaded with bugs, none we game breaking in my case but enemies would freeze in place or glitch around the screen. Individuals loaded into levels before the level and spawned inside the floor unable to move. Players passed through walls regularly and objects in the world behaved in uncontrolled and unpredictable ways.

All of the characters have been changed for the worse from the previous installment. Pontius has lost his hammer and magnetic shield, Amadeus can only summon a single box at a time and it always spawns over his head, and Zoya has been weakened (in this case she was far too powerful in Trine 2 but they made her feel almost pointless now Trine 3) Additionally all the ability unlocks and upgrades have been removed, the character you are at the beginning is the character you will be at the end. Removing any sense of progression.

The gameplay feels much less fluid than in the previous installments, partially due to limiting what each character can do, and reducing the impact each action has by blurring the distinction between your interactions and the environment on a canvas of highly saturated colors. Your actions are dulled, barely visible, and don't have much "umph" behind them.

Some individual levels are quite nice to look at, or have an interesting theme, but too often they are marred by glitches, wonky controls and an unengaging story that make it more of a pain to trudge through the level than an exciting environment to explore.

This is failry longwinded now so here is my final suggestion:

Verdict: Don't purchase this game to play alone, the gameplay does not stack up to the previous titles on any level. I would only suggest to buy this game at a steep discount and to play with a group of friends not to enjoy the game as is but more as a playground to mess around in.
The game is a colorful sandbox. And a sandbox on its own isn't fun, it's all about what you can make happen inside.

A series of short films and skits which are very well produced and entertaining. The short films accomplish more than many full length films during their short run time, telling an engaging story with impressive effects and more fleshed out characters than a fair number of films. The skits are enjoyable and quick to watch.

I could say more about the quality of these productions. But instead I suggest you just watch 'em.

I've only scratched the surface of the game so far but I can say that everything I've done so far is incredibly satisfying. A beautiful environment, thoroughly enjoyable movement, interesting story, deep implications. All around fantastic so far.

This game is a bit of a mixed bag but I would suggest that you still check it out if this type of game is your thing. It's an asymmetrical co-op horror survival game.

The gameplay itself is solidly done and engaging. You feel llike you are being hunted as a survivor and you feel unstoppable as the killer but the game suffers from a few problems as well.

The game definitely has a problem with leavers trying to avoid losing points or rage quitting for being captured or something along those lines. The game also has some lag issues due to how the hosting of the game works. I do hope however that these issues are sorted out as the game is updated. And when that happens we will be left with a solid arena survival-horror game.
