Engrossing…and throughly gross. Maximally atmospheric for a minimal style. A terrific achievement.

I played this twice: once being a normal, emotionally capable character, the second time just being a jerk. Remarkably, the game is plays out with incredible sensitivity for both scenarios, with meaningful dialog and emotional depth either way. One left me with wonder, longing, and hope… the second resonated authentically with bitterness and cowardice.
Sure, it's a beautifully designed walking simulator (I should turn off the PC and go for a hike), but it's also a surprising emotional sounding board. Bravo.

Huge world, amazing to look at, great writing, and a weapon system that is outrageously and ridiculously addictive.
