Great game.
Barrier to entry might seem a bit high to some people but just give it a chance and tweak the settings (maybe get some mods) until you get the hang of everything.
Lots of depth and complexity to this game which gives it almost infinite replayability.

Very fun, takes some time to not be scared and actually start investigating. A lot more fun on Nightmare and above where you have to actually KNOW the ghosts to find out which one is haunting you.

It's been years since I've started playing. It's fun for the first couple of hours/days/weeks you play this. The developers clearly do not care about the game. Development moves at a snails pace. There has been 2 new maps since I started playing the game. The items have been overhauled... to hardly change.

This game would flourish with a modding community. But as of not it has 0 longevity. The only people playing it for a really long time are content creators because they obviously make money off of it. I recommend this game on sale so you can get a few hours of fun. Otherwise stay away.

Apart from Level 0 (first level) and maybe Level 4 (Level Fun) all the other levels are absolute trash. There is nothing to do. It's very predictable. Besides the first level this doesn't really have much to do with the backrooms. DO NOT BUY.
There should be more levels like the first one.

Perfect mix of Castle Builder and RTS Fighting!
Best game in the series by far, highly recommend you give it a shot since it's pretty cheap anyway.
Very active community too (at least if you dont mind playing with/against eastern europeans).

This game bores you with an irrelevant, badly-written story and unskippable cutscenes. Do not buy this game if you intend to play it with a friend since the servers crash on a regular basis, leaving you with unjoinable lobbies.
The core gameplay is good but all the other junk makes the game unbearable. Would not recommend getting unless you are a die-hard Monster Hunter fan; care about badly-written story lines; or have nerves of steel in order to endure it.

Fabulous game.
You just have to give it a chance.
Once you make it past your first winter/ can make it past your first winter reliably you'll start having fun.
Watching some tutorials and following guides can help you get started.

Also, there are several mods that can help make your Dont Starve life easier. Don't be afraid to use them!

Best Hack and Slay there is

Non-existant servers keep dying and restarting over and over, ruining the flow and fun of the game.
Whenever a player leaves (ragequits more like) in the middle of a game, regardless of his HP at the time, is replaced by a full hp bot.
Social/Friend System is completely broken and redundant, when you can't find a game it automaticalls disbands your group for no reason.
Gravity is even more OP in this game than it is in Dark Souls.
