Really wanted to like this game. But it ended with a softlock for me. There is a puzzle where you have to look at a hanged man and the pictures looking towards it. I was able to do that, but a random monster spawned and killed me. So I was going to do it again, however this time the game spawed 5 hanged men making it impossible to place the order. Don't have patience to do the tedious puzzles all over again.

It's a Hollow Knight game, of course I'm going to recommend it. :D

Overall, more of the same as Hollow Knight 1, a very good metroidvania.

Pros:
Beautiful graphics
Great ambience with the music
Great combat, the crests are a cool idea with having different ways to play the game
Basically all of the same pros HK1 had

Cons:
The game is....kind of annoying....
The shards are pointless, I never ran out of them and forgot about it most of the time
The hardest parts of the game are at the very start imo, with the starting crest and double damage enemies
Coral Tower and Bilewater. Nothing else needs to be said about those
Exploration doesn't feel rewarding half the time
Was able to beat all bosses under 4 tries, the general mobs and map with spikes everywhere felt more difficult than them.

If Hollow Knight is a 10/10. Silksong is a 8.5/10

Definitely GOTY for me so far! Very fresh take on turn based RPG with dodging and parrying. The story is fantastic and I like how it mostly stays away from anime tropes that so many other RPGs have. Haven't had the need to grind to beat the main story. Love this game what can I say.

Some minor complaints is that the post game can be a little frustrating at first (still working on it at time of this review). Also randomly getting stuck on stuff on the floors is slightly annoying.

Love POE1. But this is just a grindy, frustrating, non-rewarding game to play. So many optimization issues. Major imbalance issues. Hard to recommend to anyone considering playing it

Took me way too long to play this. Best VR experience I've had hands down. If you are a Half-Life fan or a VR fan this is an absolute must play. The ending was incredible.

If you are a fan of ARGs...you should play this game...

This game has been on my wishlist longer than Silksong, thank you devs for completing it!! I did not think I would enjoy it as much as I did, but wow am I hooked!

Pros:
•So much charm and personality to this game. I love how every single character in the game has their own
little dialogue with the main character and it changes through out the game.

• The pixel art is fantastic, soooooo many animations to this game. It's fun running through the towns and just look at what everyone is doing.

• The grinding. Yup. That is the whole point to this game and they made it so enjoyable. All the drops and especially when a card drops that is such a fantastic feeling.

• Skills. So many skills and so many different ability builds you can experiment with.

Meh:
• The Story, it was just ok. There were a couple memorable things but it was just meh.

Bad:
• The crafting recipes were usually garbage and I could get better items from the store. This could be because of my 2H Melee build though.

Buy this game if you want want a (mosty) chill game to relax to, potentially the only game I've had fun grinding enemies in. I beat 100% completed the story mode, time to try out arcade! Awesome game!

Overall, I would recommend this game. However it is not perfect and there are some issues.

The anime-inspired story has some decent moments, but quickly fell off the further I got to the end. It does not help anything that there are many translation issues. The game really dragged on, my play time was around 50 hours. And there is a type of new game mode with more content.

The star of the game though is the mastery mechanic of weapons, armor, and skills. It was really fun using everything thing I have found.

Exploring the many different areas and finding secret locations were extremely fun as well. Enemies and bosses were always unique and had interesting abilities.

The controls were just ok. Some things were really clunky (shortcut menu, hitboxes) but the combos while fighting could be fun.

All in all, I enjoyed the game. I would recommend watching a video before purchasing though, because the game is not for everyone.

Has to be one of the most addicting games I've played in a while. Once you level up your stats and start figuring out synergies, it really gets fun. Excited for the DLC in a couple days!
