This is a very great game! I can not wait to see quality of life improvements and more areas!!

My only real complaints are the unblockable attacks from wolves, goats, boars and the 1st boss (that is how far i have gotten) I feel like there should be red light and audio queue just a little bit sooner.
I did see mention that the "age" progression feels like square 1 once you set foot in the foothills.. and I have to agree. Everything is in packs and hidden in dense foliage... which makes it really easy to get snipped or overwhelmed by 3-4 wolves. I do like health pools and groups or enemies should be tweaked to be a bit more fair... It feels like I am in the wrong area when I started the foot hills.. but once I got flax.. soil and iron i was able to level up my gear from 5... to level 10 pretty quick.. which was nice and also a little weird to have to for a armor boots for that long.
It sounds like complaints but just observations but I am having a BLAST playing this game. I like how challenging it is, the graphics are great, the music is very nice, I love character creation! I can not wait to see what you bring to the table.

Also I noticed there were some frame drops in larger settlements like tortuga and the people of tortuga base but not a big ddeal game runs very well other wise!

Overall for a early access game this is amazing keep up the good work!

(also if a kraken express dev sees this. there was a bug I encountered on a foothills island where you have to get 3 oil to make a ritual offering.. I got the oil but the statue just keeps telling me to get oil even though I have all 3.. so i think it is bugged... so I can not complete the quest even though the oil is in my inventory.)

its slow to start but its been great fun. it looks great after finding the right settings. i play on controller and its been totally fine. i guess the complaints about controls are keyboard users? it kinda feels right now like people are just hating on it just because? or maybe since the yellow tape isnt telling them where to go they don't know what to do in the game? anyways i have spent more than the 2.5 hour reviews on here have and made a negative review about a game thats hundreds of hours long... i think its worth it if you enjoy rpgs and like that intense immersion.

literally took a game that was amazing and made sequel of it that improved it in every way! Named my dog Zagreus even when i got him 2 years ago.

really loved the idea.. i do recommend this game. however for me. the characters i liked their stories seemed short and talking to someone after they love you as of right now doesnt do anything and wastes a charge for the day. I know the point is to talk to everyone- was just bummed by the very few characters that were my type or i was interested in were kind of a gimmicky type deal without a meaningful connection.

was really hoping the pc version of this game would lose the really blurry aspects of this game, they are still just not as bad... although im not sure if i will buy it immediately. The blurry filter or whatever really gets to me and is very distracting.

I have played since 2.0 of a realm reborn and i have to say the story really is falling flat for me... I have played this game for so long and I am struggling to pay attention to the story and i LOVE the story of this game... the areas are generic so far... barely any combat... I have done one dungeon and that was about the most exciting thing so far and it was just a forested/meadow themed dungeon that was subpar.. I am only level 93 in the story and heard it does not get a little better till 96 at which point is over half way of the story done... I know this is supposed to be a much simpler expansion and not world ending.... but they have managed to make "not world ending" stories seem way more interesting than this in the past.... I really thought the "contest to be the dawnservant" was gonna be super quick and there was gonna be a twist but so far there is not... and its dragging for ever. Ill add more to my review when i play more... and as someone who has played this long... this is the first time ever that I have not had to wait in a queue to get into the game on a new expansion release ( I play on Jenova)

Story is boring so far, will have to trudge through it and I have never felt that way before and that makes me sad... since FF14 is one of my favorite games

I really love dragons dogma and dragons dogma 2. It has been really great but the frame rate has been really rough in towns. Also all the MTX items for sale are all obtained in game and you don't "need" to buy any even for character editing. You go to the barber in Vermund or whatever, go to the pawn gild and buy the editor for 500RC which the game gives you plenty of. It will such a good game once the patch comes out for some of these bugs.

So I want to like this game but victims don't coordinate or help. Family can all 3v1 you out of the game or even just chase u as soon as u start the game and die since they have a possible achievement of getting you out of the game in 30 seconds... as soon as grandpa wakes up the other family members can come into the basement which is usually only leather face until then making it even harder to escape while your teammates all make as much noise as possible at the start or the game. So if you arent being focused at the start of the game and dont get seen usually you get out. As soon as you are found you basically are out of the game and so many times its out of my control so I will have 3-7 games in a row where im found first at no fault of my own.. loud teammates.. bad spawning location etc and im out of the game. Or I "loop" the family around for so long the 3 other victims get a free escape... its just not balanced... family can literally body block exit doors, disorient you so you can't even run away.. (missy).. need 15 locks for an escape only to be caught trying to break the 1 single lock out of 15.. its not "balanced" and I know we have spooky loops saying that people can get out in 2 minutes and I have before too but its so rare now especially solo q.. they all know the gas station secret exit.. family home is stupid hard to escape.. and the only semi easy place to escape is slaughter house but thats if you get the chance and not focused by leather face in basement for 10 minutes while missy and johnny join in because of all the noise and grandpa blaring a spot light on you. its not "fun" I had 1 good day from this game where i could get out and be stealthy and now its super competitive and all the family tries way to hard to get 1 person out instead of dividing roles. to stop everyone. This is just me and my review idk if anyone else feels the same way. Im not trying to compare dbd but at least if they tunnel you you can punish the k1ller by wasting their time and have perks to bounce back. in tcm its just a matter of time they get you.. run out of stamina... no chance to heal.. ability is gone on cool down for 120seconds...etc i REALLY want to like this game... but the past 2 days of turning it on and playing 2 matches im super pissed I cant even do a single objective.. team mates have 1700 points and i have 375 because ive been chased all game trying to play the damn game..

really enjoyed this game..but the more you play the harder it gets and more toxic it becomes... no matter what role you play you are greeted with toxic killers or survivors...who troll you, tunnel you and become verbally toxic at times... I keep wanting to play but always end the game on a bad note with either becoming extremely frustrated or throwing my headset down in annoyance... if you are a competitive person or don't mind losing 4,5,6+ games in a row while being tea bagged then this game is for you. you either play on a team where all of your team mates do nothing and you are the first to die...or you play as the killer where 3 gens are done in 2 minutes and survivors magically always get away..or run up to survivors you hooked, while you as the killer are standing there and all escape. the game is survivor sided but like i said, if you play survivor you usually end up on a team where no one does anything...it feels as if you are always meant to fail at a certain point. the match making is absolutely awful..you can be playing for the first time and be paired with someone who is the highest rank possible... not to mention a lot of the broken, good perks are hidden behind dlc's.... so save yourself a headache if none of these things would bother you...


edit: hundreds of hours later... my review still holds just BHVR deciding to nerf healing and DH so killers can camp, slug and tunnel better like they have always done anyways.

It seems its the last day to buy the original The prepare to die edition. Dark Souls has become my favorite game of all time. Its sequels are very good but none of them are as good as this one. The atmosphere, the characters, the setting the music...this game does it perfect.
The story is amazing if you really take the time and learn about the world you are in, Lordran. Most of the lore is in the weapons and items or places you encounter...
The combat is amazing because it seems like when you die, it was probably your fault. You maybe couldve dodged that sooner, or maybe if you eliminated all those monsters before attempting to rush into that room.... that can all be avoided... except lag stab... lag stab in PVP is just...hard to avoid but you brush the dust off and GIT GUD so you can kick their a** laster haha... You can approach many different situations in a large maner of ways... in regards to combat when not in PVP...
I have made friends because of this game in real life and on the internet.
It brings the cooperation and rivalry of most multiplayer games as well... Diverse weapons, classes...
this game is just great... if you have never gotten this game wait for the remaster because it will bring a lot of quality of life updates along with the new one. LIke using more than one item at a time, or switching covenants at the bonfire etc etc...
I have a copy on my PC and PS3.. with just as many hours in my PS3 version... and i can never get bored or have enough of this game...there is always something new and it always seems like i learn something about the game i never knew about it every time i play...
LIke those floaty white rings eveyrone assumes is just a glitch...nah those are there to buff your miracles by a certain percentage...
Enough of my rambling and ranting..this game is amazing... get the remaster if you have never gotten this game before...but if you are an old timer like me we can all appreciate the new things that will be brough to the remaster <3
